SPEAKING INGLÉS: ESSAY

In the present day, it is common knowledge within society at large that friendship is a vital
aspect of human life and development. This fundamental connection with others is
something that transcends cultures, societies, and even historical eras, showing that
friendship is, without doubt, an essential part of the human experience. Therefore, it stands
to reason that we ought to call our attention to the diverse reasons which plainly support
this statement. Friendship, in its most genuine form, offers emotional support,
encouragement, and a sense of belonging, shaping not only our individual experiences but
also our broader societal interactions.

Friendship and foremost, it is undeniable that the concept of friendship plays a

crucial role in personal well-being and social cohesion, as it is a basic need that
contributes significantly to our emotional health. Friends provide us with emotional
security, help reduce stress and increase happiness by offering advice and support.
Additionally, friendships expose us to different perspectives, make us grow
intellectually and emotionally, and contribute to our personal identity by reflecting
our values and interests. Therefore, friendship is essential for human development
and general well-being.
Secondly,, It is important to understand what true friendship really means and the
impact it has on our lives. True friendship, as opposed to superficial or transactional
relationships, has a profound and positive impact on our mental and emotional
health. Some friendships are driven by convenience, superficial interests, or social
obligation, and tend to fade over time. However, true friendships are based on trust,
honesty and mutual respect, lasting through challenges and difficult times.

Another significant point to consider is the qualities that define a good friendship. What
makes a good friend? Strong friendships are built on fundamental qualities such as loyalty,
empathy, honesty and open communication. A good friend is someone who listens without
judgment, respects your limits, and supports your personal growth. Additionally, a strong
friendship is characterized by reciprocity, where both people in the relationship give and
receive equally. Reciprocity fosters a balance and mutual respect that allows friendship to
flourish over time.
Nowadays,, social influences on friendships are significant. Social media plays an important
role in how we perceive and engage in friendships. Sometimes the pressure of having lots
of friends or maintaining an online appearance can overshadow the importance of
cultivating deep, meaningful connections. It is crucial to focus on nurturing authentic
friendships based on mutual trust, respect and understanding, rather than focusing on the
number of friends.

All things considered, even though there is more to this subject matter than meets the eye, I
am inclined to believe that it is important to find and build friendships based on trust,
kindness, and helping each other. Friendship is not just something we create, but an
important part of our happiness and social life. We should appreciate what real friendship
means so we can enjoy its good things and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
It’s really important.
