GRADES XI
Every child is unique and precious. very child is a star with the specific spark to shine all through life in
every phase. Hence each child is gifted unique talents by nature with the imminent qualities and
potentialities. With their talents, innate skills and intuition the children slowly climb the ladder of pinnacle
gradually and attain overall personality development. Children achieve this progress and all- round
development along with their academic excellence well balanced with the co-curricular, sports, games,
extra-curricular activities and, competitions which are equally important and an integral part of the learning
of a student during the school time. With the co-curricular activities the students are provided ample
opportunities to bring out their hidden talents, exercise their innovation and creativity
and discover their strengths and specializations. BIA values this aspect of growth of students and thus
provides a constant platform to the students with the number of co-curricular activities and competitions
which serve as the springboard for students to nurture and develop their talents. The academics and the
co-curricular activities are the two sides of the same coin of holistic development. The academic success
helps students gain the mettle of knowledge and the co-curricular play a vital and significant role in helping
students develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and discover their hidden treasure of talents. Hence
the co-curricular activities and competitions will be conducted on different days for different classes
spread through the year during the weekdays which will be well in advance planned and the students will
be sent diary messages along with the details of the competition / activity including instructions,
guidelines, parameters / rubrics / criteria etc accordingly. The respective Teacher In-charges / Class
Teachers will send the dates, plan, mode of conduct and details to the concerned class /students well in
advance. Certain activities and competitions are conducted during the class time as a part of learning in
the respective subjects. Those dates may will be notified and sent by the subject teachers through diary
separately along with detailed instructions. Please note that the dates of the activities / competitions
mentioned in the planner are actual but subject to change in case the government or management passes
any order. From time to time, in the academic year, the students will have literary, co- & extra-curricular
CCA, sports and games activities / competitions..
Right from the school assembly, the children are provided with ample opportunities to excel in their formal
and informal learning through their oratory skill based activities, assembly talks, extempore, literary and
cultural activities in the form of quiz, skit, role play, scouts, guides, cubs, bulbuls, toast masters clubs,
ornithology, origami, literary, journalism, eco club, other clubs, that help them in the assembly and
classroom activities the students are engaged, enabled and empowered so that the education is made
easy, more interesting, appealing, effective, purposeful and innovative for the students that helps them
attain the growth that is comprehensive , overall / all-round / holistic, ongoing and cumulative. Learning
doesn’t restrict to classroom and textbook alone. More effective and fruitful learning takes place informally
and non-formally when the students are provided with number of activities wherein they are actively
involved. Effective learning subconsciously takes place while students are engaged in co-curricular
activities like inter-school competitions that are planned and apart from the competitions exchange
programmes that are planned with intra-school, inter-school, inter-country and continental too. Students
learn much better in field especially when they are taken out for field trips, school excursions, study /
motivational / educational tours and mountaineering expedition / trekking etc. whatever mentioned above
are the most essential basic ingredients of our school’s curriculum and objectives of the vision and
mission. Even special training is given to students in yoga, physical exercises to increase their physical
and mental stamina; students are trained to crack NTSE, Olympiad exams and all other competitive
exams. In fact some students have won gold medals in silver Olympiads. These activities like excursions,
Olympiads, scouting the school will send details to the parents as and when the school receives
information.
