Preface to the Planner

“The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” – B.B. King.
Academic Excellence the Main Endeavour of the School

Dear parents / students,

Greetings to you from Bangalore International Academy, Jayanagar.
The school academic planner is designed to help students stay organized, track projects and
exams, follow class test and other schedules, meet deadlines, take notes, and more. It helps you
manage your time effectively.
Students with the effective utility of planner will have enough time in the day especially when
they're juggling academics with other obligations, work, hobbies, family commitments etc. The
planner is one of the effective tools for academic preparation and success. Planner has everything
in one place. It helps students to be in pace with their preparedness and with the teachers. It helps
everyone to manage time for studies, upcoming exams, hobbies and vacation breaks etc. with the
planner the students will be able keep the studies in order as an important part of academic
success. Students and with the help of teachers and parents may organize the steps necessary to
achieve success. Student planners naturally help students hone organizational skills, but they also
improve learning, help prioritize subject knowledge and free up time for other activities apart
from school. We aim at the development of children into disciplined, academically bright and self-
confident individuals, who will move on to create their mark in this world by achieving their best
in all spheres of life. Our prime focus is to create congenial learning environment to provide the
all-round growth of each child: be it physical, mental, social and spiritual sphere of life by making
the learning more effective, innovative, creative, productive and fruitful. Each child is most
important for us. Through one to one approach every individual is given utmost care in all aspects.
Hence our teaching learning approach is blended with the tradition and modern attributes. We
believe that learning continues to take place in students apart from textbooks too. Hence ample
opportunities are provided to the students for learning by doing and lab experiments etc in all
areas with hands on experience methods, do, experiment and explore approach. Thus we ensure
that the students are actively and purposefully engaged, enabled and empowered in constant
learning. The innovation in our pedagogical practices is aimed at making the learning more
effective, fruitful and purposeful. Our teaching methods are oriented towards being student
centered and with a student friendly environment at classroom and labs and in all the learning
places.
We make a record of each student’s strength and weak areas of academic performance and
accordingly the students are additionally provided with extra support in a more effective manner
that takes place in more interesting and easy manner and that is closely and continuously
monitored. The Teachers will make a weekly and monthly academic appraisals from time to time.
Parents are exhorted to be in constant touch with the parents through emails or app to get update
from the teacher about the student and at the same time to keep the teacher updated on your
feedback. Our teachers are highly dedicated with their immense qualification and experience
always ready to give their best to the academic excellence and overall development of the
students.

creativity and creation. Every child is a treasure of talents and bundle of immense possibilities”

Every child is unique and precious. very child is a star with the specific spark to shine all through life in
every phase. Hence each child is gifted unique talents by nature with the imminent qualities and
potentialities. With their talents, innate skills and intuition the children slowly climb the ladder of pinnacle
gradually and attain overall personality development. Children achieve this progress and all- round
development along with their academic excellence well balanced with the co-curricular, sports, games,
extra-curricular activities and, competitions which are equally important and an integral part of the learning
of a student during the school time. With the co-curricular activities the students are provided ample
opportunities to bring out their hidden talents, exercise their innovation and creativity

provides a constant platform to the students with the number of co-curricular activities and competitions
which serve as the springboard for students to nurture and develop their talents. The academics and the
co-curricular activities are the two sides of the same coin of holistic development. The academic success
helps students gain the mettle of knowledge and the co-curricular play a vital and significant role in helping
students develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and discover their hidden treasure of talents. Hence

be sent diary messages along with the details of the competition / activity including instructions,
guidelines, parameters / rubrics / criteria etc accordingly. The respective Teacher In-charges / Class

the respective subjects. Those dates may will be notified and sent by the subject teachers through diary
separately along with detailed instructions. Please note that the dates of the activities / competitions
mentioned in the planner are actual but subject to change in case the government or management passes
any order. From time to time, in the academic year, the students will have literary, co- & extra-curricular
