STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
INTRODUCTION
I would like to give precise information about myself. My name is Gurleen Kaur and I own the citizenship
of India and my passport number is W7297822. Since my childhood, I have been a bright student and I
always had a vision of doing a course with my keen interest and that’s why I have opted for Bachelor of
Arts (HONS) in Business Management from Global University Systems (GUS) Potsdam campus,
Germany to polish my business skills and to enrich my knowledge in business skills.
EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND RELEVANCY
I did my matriculation in the year 2021 from Central Board of Secondary Education with 90% moving
along, I completed my year 12 in the year 2023 in Commerce field with 74% under the Central Board of
Secondary Education.
I have a commerce background and during my senior secondary education, I was able gain the
knowledge about business strategies and tips. To deep dive into the business and to develop the skills
for a successful career, I want to learn and study in depth in business management which I won’t be able
to collect while studying in India.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST
Once, I was able to complete my higher education, I gave IELTS exam which was conducted on 30-09-
2023 with an overall band score of 6.5 and in Listening I scored 7.0, Reading-6, Speaking-6.5 and
Writing-6.5.
WHY GERMANY IS MY DREAM COUNTRY FOR MY HIGHER EDUCATION?
Germany is a country where it focuses on quality teaching with blended mode of teaching; practical and
theoretical. I will witness the excellent quality of the education which is consistently updated to face the
evolving business world. Another attracting fact for choosing Germany over other countries is that,
Germany is the home to excellent universities, ranked highly and is best in the world with the cities filled
with the enriching histories, cultural activities. It has a mesmerizing countryside beauty with its
captivating landscapes, elegant old castles perched on the nearby hilltops, and vineyards stretching as
far as the eye can see. Furthermore, I can have an access on great student-work-life which balances
with a low cost of living. Germany is the safest country which would a relief to my family. I can even
roam at night without any fear. Germany is one of the countries which are liberal and full of diversity.

This course is a perfect choice for me as this course will provide me with the academic knowledge and
skills which I specifically require to pursue a career in business world. This course will enrich me with
the breadth and depth of the knowledge and skills that I acquire to polish my skills. This course will
teach me with the modern skills, competencies, and technological knowledge to lead and how-to
successfully contribute towards business environment. Through this course, I will explore the subjects
such as finance, digital marketing, innovations, people management and data analysis which will
embark on my journey towards my aim. The variety of subjects that I will learn during my undergraduate
course will help me to evaluate the key roles and contributions of the key business functions which are
applicable to contemporary business. With these keen skills, I will be able to become a well –rounded
professional with a keen awareness of how to run a business.
CAREER OUTCOMES AFTER THIS COURSE
This course has a major impact on my career and I will be able to accomplish the dream, I have always
seen for a victorious career. India is a developing country which focuses on the competitive advantages
with advance business skills and digital marketing and hence, a business with advance technologies and
digital marketing strategies is profitable in India. I can not only join a company for a better career but
also, I can have my own start up as well. After gaining the advance knowledge about the business
during the tenure of my undergraduate degree, I will utilize those strategies and tips to build a
successful business. I can hold for the role of a Business Development Manager with the salary package
of 7.3 LPA, Communication Manager with the package of 13.5 LPA, HR Manager with the salary of 10.9
LPA.
