You live in a house near a park. Recently, a lot of teenagers have been meeting in the park at night.

They are very noisy. Write an email to the local government in about 150-200 words. Your email
should do the following things:

• Provide information about where you live.

• Explain the problem and how it affects your life.

• Suggest a way to solve the problem.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this email to complain about teenagers causing loud noise in the park at nights.

I recently moved from Castle Road to Queen Street, opposite a grocery store and adjacent to Green
Valley Park. Lately, I have been experiencing loud noise of teenagers in my neighbourhood especially
during the nights.

A group of teens comes to the park and plays loud music at night. Initially, I thought they were
coming to celebrate an occasion or a party, but now it has become a daily affair. I have been unable
to sleep properly for last few days, which has negatively impacted my daily work schedule.

However, despite asking them many times to lower the volume, they still play music loudly. I would
like to suggest that sending an enforcement officer who could patrol near the park so that this kind
of noise are prohibited in the neighbourhood.

I hope you will understand the matter and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Jacks
Your children’s school provides free school lunches. Usually the lunch is a hamburger, hotdog, or
pizza. The children really enjoy the lunches. Some parents want to change the lunches so that the
children eat salad or vegetables every day. The school asked you to respond to an opinion survey.
Choose the option that you prefer. Why do you prefer your choice? Explain the reasons for your
choice.

Write about 150-200 words.

• Option A: I would prefer the lunches stayed the same.

• Option B: I would prefer they changed the lunches.

In my opinion, it would be preferable to change the children’s lunches from unhealthy food to
healthy food.

First of all, there are several reasons to change meals of children is that, as the salad and vegetables
would make children lunch more nutritious, balanced and healthier which could fulfil their body
needs of carbohydrates, protein and vitamins. Although children are enjoying eat hamburgers,
hotdogs or pizza these foods contain excessive amount of unhealthy carbohydrates and trans fats,
which could lead to weight gain and cause long term health problems such as high Blood pressure,
high cholesterol and heat attack.

Furthermore, in the educational institute, if children are served more by the junk food, they will not
learn the benefits of vitamins and minerals for their body. In the future, their diet will be dominated
by junk food and the prospect for healthy food will get a distorted with hamburger and pizza
becoming their healthy food standards. Moreover, including green vegetables and fruits in meal
could help to promote good eating habits and improve physical and mental fitness.

Conspicuously, out of concern for children health it is wise idea to change lunch from junk food to
healthy meal.
