Production Supervisor Role

Production supervisors are line or operations managers, meaning they frequently have a hands-
on leadership role in their companies' product-making activities. Broadly, production supervisors
come under industrial production manager occupational categories. Production supervisors are
most commonly seen in companies such as automakers, commercial bakeries and any company
turning out mass-produced goods on schedule. Manufacturing company employees frequently
turn to their production supervisors for direction and answers to their questions about their
assigned duties.

Production Supervisor Duties

Depending on the particular company, a production supervisor may plan, direct or coordinate
work activities and obtain resources necessary for production success. In other words, production
supervisors must be able to ensure their assigned assembly functions deliver products that meet
all company cost, quality and quantity requirements. As a production supervisor, you review
processing schedules and production orders and make decisions regarding resources needed to
meet those schedules or orders. Production supervisors are also responsible for meeting company
budget goals.
Preparation and Operation

Machine operators prepare the machine for each production task. This
can include entering information such as sizes, shapes or cutting
information into computer-controlled machines, or adjusting machine
settings such as speed. They perform tests to ensure the machine is set
properly, and then operate the machine for normal production.

While the machine is operating, machine operators monitor the

equipment to ensure proper function throughout the production process.
They also randomly test or measure products or parts to ensure that they
meet specifications. After production is completed, they also create
production reports for the machines they operate.

 Oiling and greasing the machines and ensuring their proper

workability
 Monitoring the machine operations to see that the finished
products and components are aptly matching with the quality and
quantity constraints of the company
 Report any technical problem to the department concerned
 Examining and discarding defective product production
 Cleaning the machineries after completing the production activities
 Ensure to perform all duties safe and secured manner.
 Comply with established safety and security standards by wearing apt
personal protective equipment for tasks as directed.

Mr. Mohammad Al Asmari

Executive Manager

Sir,

A pleasant day! As per the record is concerned it shows that blowing machine #1 takes more
maintenance and consumed more spare part compare from other blowing machine which is just being
attended only by a laborer. In this case simple it means that the laborer doesn’t make intervention in
any problem of the machine. “Little knowledge is dangerous” our Blowing machine is a fully automated
machine controlled with PLC which means the whole system of the machine is properly synchronized.
And since the production speed depend on the adjustment in the control panel the operator should
only change from the parameter .

Early morning this day July 5,2016 I saw with my two eyes Mr. Asaad adjusting the air control valve of
Swivel Module and as a supervisor I ask him if who give him a permission to interfere or adjust in any
mechanism of the machine..but he is too arrogant asking me also if I know his responsibility. Mr. Asmari
the most thing that I really hate is having a subordinate that don’t really know how to do respect to his
superior and since stated in Article 80 of Saudi labor Law “The employer may terminate the contract
without an award, advance notice or indemnity only in the following cases, and provided that he gives
the workman a chance to state his reason for objecting to the termination”

IF, DURING OR BY REASONOF THE WORK, THE WORKMAN ASSAULT THE EMPLOYER, THE MANAGER
OR ANY OF HIS SUPERVISOR .

IFTHE WORKMAN IS PROVED TO HAVE ADOPTED A BAD CONDUCT OR TO HAVE COMMITTED AN ACT
AFFECTING THE INTEGRITY OR HONOR .

Sir I am hoping for your immediate attention in this matter since I don’t want him to be a mirror to
his co-worker. Good manners an right conduct should be observe in our work place.

Yours truly

Noel Bataller
