Dear Student,
The WIL Placement form attached to this letter will allow you to plan for doing your practise teaching module
during Semester 1 of 2025.
The School Placement PROCESS comprises out of the following steps:
1. Download the School Placement Form.
2. Fill in the School Placement Form.
3. Submit the online WIL Booking Form.
We suggest that you visit the school of your choice as soon as possible. The school you choose should have a
valid EMIS number, should be utilising the CAPS curriculum and should be able to accommodate you in the
correct phase.
The WIL period for 2nd semester begins on 3 March 2025 and ends on 30 May 2025. You are to fill in 6
uninterrupted weeks during the WIL period that the school principal or school management agrees to
accommodate you at the school.
Once your placement has successfully been uploaded, you will receive confirmation. All year 2 to year 4 students
will then receive further communication concerning the booking of their lesson and PoE assessments once the
practical period commences.
Please note no placement forms/PoE submissions will be accepted by email. Students are required to complete
the Placement Form on MySANTS. Please contact SANTS at 0800872687 or via MySANTS for assistance.

Dear Sir/Madam,
SANTS is a Private Higher Education Institution focussed on teacher education, and as such we currently have
students who are registered for the three-year Diploma: Grade R teaching qualification as well as for four year BEd
degrees in Intermediate Phase and Foundation Phase teaching.
As you may know, Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) is an integral part of any teacher education programme
and is a legal requirement towards the fulfilment of the requirements for the awarding of both a Diploma and BEd
degrees. We therefore now respectfully request that you consider accepting our student(s) for WIL periods varying
in duration from 3 to 8 weeks, as specified in the form to be completed below.
If you are willing to assist both SANTS and its students in this regard, kindly indicate this by competing the attached
form and handing it back to the student. Please do not hesitate to refer any queries to the SANTS Student Support
Department
