List down Key points for AGA. Mention medical management grade wise.

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common type of baldness characterized by progressive

hair loss, often seen in men and women.
This multifactorial disorder is caused by interactions between genes and environmental
factors, affecting the growth cycle of hair follicles.
AGA is characterized by stepwise miniaturization of hair follicles, leading to vellus
transformation. AGA is associated with chronic diseases, thyroid disorders, and medical
conditions in the last 6 months.
Hair loss triggers include medications, diet, gym supplements, anemia, and biotin.
History taking should include hairloss and thinning area, allergies, chronic illnesses, smoking,
alcohol consumption, stress, allergies, past family history and images.

scratching may cause temporary hair loss.

Key Points:

images ask for hair care routine, past medical history, family history as it is auto immune
disease rule presence of any other conditions like AGA. Also check for pollution exposure
and physical activity.

sweating, and eating a balanced diet. Shampooing frequently and avoiding oiling hair can
help loosen flakes. Limiting hair styling products can also help prevent dandruff. Basic hair
hygiene includes washing brushes and pillow covers, using lukewarm water when washing,
and avoiding harsh chemicals and frequent treatments. Wearing a helmet while riding a bike
is also important. These changes can help prevent dandruff and improve overall hair health.
A healthy diet rich in proteins, biotins, zinc, and B vitamins is recommended.

Beard medical management

Introduction:
Beard loss can be caused by medical reasons, natural shedding, hormonal anomalies, stress,
genetic predisposition, or poor nutrition. Natural beard growth cycles, poor nutrition,
aggressive dieting, and chronic stress can contribute to this condition.

To boost beard growth, follow a healthy lifestyle with proper diet, exercise, and sleep. Avoid
stress, alcohol, and smoking, as they can lower testosterone levels and reduce blood flow to

excessive washing. The healthiest beard is a 3-day beard, with a few weekly washings. Avoid
using heat tools or blow-drying. Shaving is not a significant factor in beard growth, and
excessive use can cause skin irritation.
