The rubric is set up at three levels of performance demonstrated by the Youth at the end of the
module.
Partial Proficiency - Learners have limited knowledge and skills. As a result, they can
partially complete basic tasks included in the module.
Average Proficiency - Learners have developed sufficient knowledge and skills. As a
result, they can successfully complete intermediate tasks included in the module.
Excellent Proficiency - Learners have developed superior knowledge and skills. As a

5. Activity Guides
Activity 1: AI Charades
Description:
Activity to understand artificial intelligence through a team-based activity
Guidelines to the activity:
There will be 6 rounds in the activity
Divide the class into two teams – Team A and Team B
In Round 1-3,
o Team A will be Team Describers
o Team B will be Team Guessers
In Round 4-6,
o Team A will be Team Guessers
o Team B will be Team Describers
To play Round 1-3,
o Team A (Team Describers) will be shown a picture, and has to describe it in 7-10
words
o Team B (Team Guessers) will be presented with both descriptions – from Team
A and AI, and has to identify which description was written by Team A and by AI
To play Round 4-6, switch roles and start again
Activity 2: AI Duet
Description:
Activity to understand how AI can be used to create music
Guidelines to the activity:
Open the AI Experiment – AI Duet
This introduces how patterns and tunes in music can be appreciated using AI
Activity Weblink: [Link]
Play the video to show how A.I. Duet was built and how it applies AI.
Explore playing your own tunes and how the AI completes it for you.

6. Speaker Notes
Please note that this section can be printed out before the sessions.
Slide 3 Let me present you, your first lesson
Slide 4 The learners will be able to answer all the mentioned questions after going
through this module
Slide 6 We will start our discussion with understanding what Artificial Intelligence is
Slide 7 Encourage the learners to describe what is intelligence in one word or two
Discuss and lead them to think about the 3 words on the next slide – Think,
Learn, and Problem Solving
Slide 8 Following that, ask them to guess the three incomplete words(Think, Learn and
Problem Solving) on the screen which are related to IntelligenceFurther
construct the definition given on next slide using these words.
Slide 9 Use student’s answers to the 2 question to lead them to the definition of AI
Prompt them to think of answers where they might have used AI
9
Slide 10 Define what is AI
Highlight that we want machines to display human-like intelligence
Slide 11 Encourage students to share their responses
Slide 12 Facilitators could ask learners to list down points they remember or understood
from the videoThese points could be included to summarize the video

Slide 20 Since we have several technologies which exist around us in today’s time, it is
very common for us to misunderstand any other technology as AIThis is why we
need to have a clear distinction between what is AI and what is not.
Slide 21 Ask students these questions
Make them think about how Automation makes it easier for humans to do
physical work
Sample responses:
• Machines are packing gifts and lifting them
• Yes! No one is controlling them
• Human beings do not have to pack gifts. They save energy and do not get
tired
• Washing Machine, Lifts, Automatic Doors, Automatic ball thrower
Slide 22 Explain every example on the screen :
Washing Machine –We depend a lot on electronic devices for our routine
choresAutomatic washing machines can reduce the physical work needed to
wash and dry clothes
Automatic Doors – These doors can open on their own when a person is
nearbyThey reduce the physical work needed to open and close doors
Escalators – These automatic moving staircases help reduce the physical work
needed to climb up and down
Slide 23 Explain the difference between Automation and AI
Slide 25 Ask the students whether the example on the screen is AI or Automation

Slide 36 Ask learners general questions about navigation and finding directions
Slide 37 Facilitators are encouraged to show a demonstration of Google Maps to the
students.
Explain that Google Maps uses AI to show us the duration of the journey and
traffic on the streets
Slide 38 Ask learners general questions which will lead them to understanding the utility
of digital assistants
Slide 39 If possible, facilitators are encouraged to show a demonstration of a voice
assistant to the learners
Explain that the assistant uses AI to understand what we are trying to say
Slide 41 Ask learners general questions about cars and driving, leading them to the idea
of self-driving cars on the next slide
Slide 42 Start with the video, let them summarize it then the coach can proceed by
explaining it better with some technical aspects like object detection, sensors
etc in a simplified manner.
Slide 43 Ask learners general questions about exercise, leading them to the idea of
human pose detection AI on the next slide
13
Slide 44 Algorithms can be trained to detect human poses in real-time using a computer
vision technique called human pose estimation.
Slide 45 Ask learners general questions about music, leading them to the idea of AI that
can play music on the next slide
Slide 46 The coach may start with the video and explain what they saw in the
applicationMoving on, learners can indulge in the same experiment and
experience this wonderful AI application.
