Some people think that young people after the age of 17
should be given complete freedom from their parents
Some amount of people think that children’s activities should be controlled by
parents, and other side of society believes that 17 years old child isn’t matured
enough to make decisions by herself. I agree with the following idea that parents
should control their children ’s behaviors but in a balanced way. I’ll reinforce my
preference with convincing arguments and examples.
Fundamentally, experience is the most important thing in life. If children have
complete freedom after the age of seventeen, they will be more capable and
practiced. As we know, wisdom comes from experience. Young people will gain
more skills for adulthood and life will be easier in the future. They won’t be
dependent on their parents and will learn how to talk to other people and how to
put down roots in the community. Youth will be able to increase their knowledge
about life priorities and develop their skills to become good cooperators, residents,
and society members.
On the other side, despite the benefits of being independent in the early years,
sometimes the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Some children aren’t ready
to have complete freedom at seventeen. If parents left alone the children who don’t
know how to survive, they would feel loneliness and become closest to others.
Furthermore, some children will abuse their independence badly and start to trying
prohibit things. In order to solve an issue, parents should take control to children
who are immature.
In conclusion, children should be given more freedom in their lives and learn how
to solve any problems that they will face in the future. However, in some cases,
adults should not give a person complete freedom, such as when a child is not yet
ready to deal with life's challenges.
