MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The Management of SPML has developed and implemented the Health, Safety &
Environment Management System. OHSAS 18001: 2007 for Occupational Health &
Safety and ISO 14001:2015 standard for Environment Management System and
achieved formal certificate from BUREAU VERITAS (Copy of Certificate attached) and
ensures for the continual improvement its effectiveness by:
▪ Established IMS Objectives
▪ Communicating to all functions the importance of meeting, customer, legal and
regulatory requirements
▪ Conducting periodic management reviews i.e. once in 6 months and evaluating
performance of the quality management system
▪ Ensuring provision of resources such as trained and competent manpower,
information technology, equipment, finance, etc…

Company`s Safety Philosophy:
▪ The Company strongly believe and is extremely concerned for the Health and
Safety of all it’s employees as well as any other personnel engaged for the
execution of the job.
▪ The management is committed to treat Health, Safety and Welfare as an
integral component of SP’s management system and will provide all necessary
resources for the effective implementation of all safety requirement with full
regard to all relevant regulations, and best safe work practices.
▪ We will establish HSE audits, inspection, and other programmes in a
continuous effort for identifying and eliminating hazards and unsafe practices
at the workplace.
▪ Will train all staff in HSE matters to enhance their awareness and increase
their effective participation.
▪ Regular HSE meetings and toolbox meetings are held to provide a forum to
communicate and promote HSE objectives.
▪ At the commencement of a project and throughout the contract, the HSE
Department reviews the areas impacting health. Controls to eliminate or
reduce exposure to occupational health hazards such as heat, dust, chemicals,
noise, etc. are implemented.
▪ Project Management shall take all precautionary measures for protecting the
workers during the work from any injury or disease that may result from the
work performed in the project site or from any accident, defect or breakdown in
the machinery and equipment therein or from fire.
Management Responsibilities
▪ Provide safe working environment & safe conditions and equipment.
▪ Notify employees of hazards and provide training to deal with them.
▪ Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
▪ Make sure accidents are reported and causes eliminated
▪ Discipline staff who willfully violate safety procedures. Zero Tolerance
▪ Seek ways and means of continuously improving on the Safety Culture on site.
▪ Provide and allocate the necessary resources to ensure compliance to Safety
Requirements.
