Government (DILG), a nationwide community-based clean-up drive
program anchored on the culture of bayanihan that aims to maintain and
provide a healthy and safe environment for the people through proper
solid waste management. With this, the proponent plans to conduct a
clean-up drive activity at Sitio Langan, Gupitan, Davao del Norte.

Furthermore, this program is also anchored on the DepEd order No.

9512 for environmental awareness entitled “An Act to Promote
Environmental Education and for Other Purposes.”, since the Yes-O,
SSLG, GSP and BSP members and officers, teachers and JHS and
Elementary students of Langan Integrated School are involved.

As the population grows, trashes and garbages are seen being

thrown along the highways of Sitio Langan, Barangay Gupitan. The
ecology has been harmed by the residents' lack of control on how their
trash is disposed of. One of the primary goals of the proposed project is
to undertake a clean-up drive along Sitio Langan's highway and its
surroundings.

This endeavors to foster improved surroundings for the sitio's

residents. This project takes a unique turn by involving not only the
teachers and students but also the young, with the assistance of the
barangay/purok officials. In addition to making their surroundings nicer,
this will motivate children to keep things clean and enhance their
interpersonal skills. Along with preventing diseases brought on by
incorrect waste disposal, this will also help reduce the amount of trash in
the Sitio Langan areas.

The advocate saw that plastics and other elements of waste

materialized in Sitio Langan. This campaign aims to raise full knowledge
of the fact that their typical disposal practices are bad for the
environment, their families, and their communities.

The program's objective is to encourage and motivate the youth

and residents of Sitio Langan to engage in sanitation and cleaning
activities. The residents of the aforementioned sitio will take the lead in
raising awareness by highlighting the idea of having fun for a good
purpose.

The activity shall ensure the implementation of necessarily health

and safety protocols as topmost priority which include the required
health standards, precautionary measures and practicing proper hygiene
and other relevant protocols.

The Equal Opportunities Principle (EOP) shall be observed in the

process at all times where all individuals are fully recognized regardless
of gender, position, religion, disability, ethnicity, and political affiliations.

Objective Towards this end, the following objectives are set:

•Inculcate among participants the value of community service and social
responsibility
•Connect participants and residents of the sitio to the benefits of having
a clean and sanitized community.
•Promote environmental awareness.
