RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE DATE OF THE CELEBRATION OF BRGY. BALUD FIESTA FROM
DECEMBER 26 OF EVERY YEAR TO AUGUST 15 & 16 BEGINNING CALENDAR YEAR 2025.
WHEREAS, festival is a joyous celebration where people, regardless of race and political
affiliation bind themselves in a merriment showcasing the rich culture of a certain locality.
WHEREAS, the Brgy. Balud Fiesta celebrates it feast on December 26 in every year in honor of
the patron saint Nuestra Senora De Salvacion & Senior San Roque
WHEREAS, the Nuestra Senora De Salvacion & Senior San Roque was usually celebrated in
the month of August.
WHEREAS, the festive spirit of fiesta often finds itself overshadowed during the Christmas
season, as the focus shifts to holiday traditions, family gatherings, and seasonal celebrations,
sometimes leading to a diminished recognition of local customs and communal festivities that
characterize the essence of fiesta.
WHEREAS, the officialdom of the Brgy. Balud strongly believe that on fostering community
spirit, honoring local traditions, and showcasing cultural heritage, reflecting the unity and resilience
of the residents. The fiesta serves as an opportunity for locals to come together, celebrate their
identity, and engage in various activities that strengthen social bonds and promote a sense of
belonging within the barangay.
WHEREAS, during the Consultative Meeting of all stakeholders held at the SB Session Hall
last October 07, 2024, it was unanimously approved by the Body to transfer the date of the
celebration of Brgy. Balud Fiesta from December 26 of every year to August 15 & 16 beginning
calendar year 2025.
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of HON. JEFFERSON D. EDEM, Chairperson, Committee on
Laws, Ways and Means duly seconded by HON. RENATO C. ZOSA, so be it.
RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE DATE OF
THE CELEBRATION OF BRGY. BALUD FIESTA FROM DECEMBER 26 OF EVERY YEAR TO AUGUST 15 &
16 BEGINNING CALENDAR YEAR 2025, BE APPROVED.
