Hosting Script for Annual Dinner
AbdulAhad: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the annual dinner once again. I am
AbdulAhad
Rehma: And I am Rehma Ajmal. We are excited to be your hosts for tonight’s event and we hope you
have enjoyed the event so far . AbdulAhad tell me how different is this evening?
AbdulAhad. Yes, indeed very wonderful. The vibes around tell a beautiful tale, which is truly
unforgettable as we gather here to celebrate the achievements of the past year and we have an exciting
evening planned with a delectable feast and entertainment.
Rehma. AbdulAhad I assure you that this annual dinner will be full of excitement, and will create some
beautiful memories for all of us. It is rightly said “Days are not lost when memories are created”.
AbdulAhad: Rightly said! You know, Rehma, we’ve been preparing for this event for weeks, and I think
it’s going to be a night to remember.
Rehma; Absolutely. AbdulAhad do you feel some turbulence around here?
AbdulAhad. Yes, I do- the heartbeats have gone up – and everyone is eager to sink into the depth of
drama, songs, lights, and joy.
Rehma. Well, here you are. Today, we will have a rainbow of programs to entertain ourselves with the
enthralling performances of our participants. Now HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR the next performances.
AbdulAhad. Yes our next performer is Rifat Sadeeq from Bs English 6th semester morning and she is
going to recite saraiki poetry.

Rehma. Thank you Rifat Sadeeq for such a heart-touching poetry.
AbdulAhad. Dear audience I hope you are enjoying… but this is not over yet…There are yet more
mesmerizing performances to come…kio ke PICTURE ABHI BAKI HE MERE DOST . So Rehma tell me what
kind of student you are.
Rehma. Well I'm the topper of my class! you know! And what about you?
AbdulAhad. I'm a backbencher! You know!
Rehma. Oh then you would be just bunking the classes.
AbdulAhad. No! We backbenchers are the core of the class!
Rehma. Yes, you're right. Without a backbencher our class is incomplete. Now I want all the toppers and
bankbenchers to please clap for yourselves.
AbdulAhad So Ladies and gentlemen, Now it’s time to bring some laughter to the stage! We have a
hilarious performer in our midst who is ready to tickle your funny bone. Get ready to laugh out loud as
we welcome the one and only Dilawaiz! For her funny speech on different types of university students.

AbdulAhad. Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter to this event. You were fantastic!
Rehma. Now I would call upon Muhammed Dilawar from Bs English 6th semester Morning to recite Urdu
poetry on spiritual and metaphorical love.

Rehma. This was Muhammed Dilawar. Thanks for your poetry. Moving forward, let's have some songs.
AbdulAhad. Yes. Rimsha, Abdul Bakii and. are going to draw the strings of our hearts and add their
soothing voice to cherish our souls by singing beautiful songs

Abdul Ahad. That was indeed a lovely performance. Very captivating!
Rehma. The tone of the music still tickling my ear drums. I would now invite Ibrahim for Urdu poetry.

AbdulAhad. The poetry performance was truly awe-inspiring, leaving me with a deep appreciation for
the art of wordsmithing.
Rehma. Now Ahad I think our guests are in for a real treat tonight.
AbdulAhad; Speaking of treats, I can’t wait to taste the delicious food that’s been prepared for us
tonight. The menu looks absolutely amazing.
Rehma. Yes! It does but AbdulAhad I want to say something to you! Beware of Jealousy! It's the green-
eyed monster!
AbdulAhad. What! Why are you saying this? How can I be jealous of someone?
Rehma. You can feel jealous because we are about to witness some of the finest acts we have ever seen.
One would never say that these are students who have never had any training in theatre apart from the
training they have here.
AbdulAhad. After this ladies and gentlemen you will appreciate Shakespeare for all the richness in his
plays. Give a big round of applause to the performers of BS English 4th Semester who are going to enact
Othello A tragedy by William Shakespeare.
Rehma. Ladies and Gentlemen! please give them a welcome with big hands.
