HOLY SPIRIT

(The Source of God’s Power in Us)

By
Raymond D. Mossie, M.D.
(Emphasis added)

Did you know that the Holy Spirit is a spirit being and not just some foggy energy force?
The Holy Spirit has a unique intellect, personality and emotional character! The Holy
Spirit is our Helper, Comforter, our Companion and our Spiritual guide. However, we
must invite the Holy Spirit into our life.

The Holy Spirit is here on earth while the Son, Jesus Christ, is in heaven sitting at the
right hand of God. God the Father is the head of the Trinity. He speaks the word and the
Holy Spirit is the power that carries out the job. Jesus is the high priest who speaks to the
Father on our behalf. He has also been given authority over the heavens and the earth.
However, man still has dominion on the earth until the return of Jesus. In this teaching
we will examine the different aspects of the Holy Spirit and how we must cooperate with
Jesus and the Father to receive ALL that the Holy Spirit has to offer. I will warn you now
that God has revealed to me what the truth about the Holy Spirit is according to the
Bible. This revelation will go against much of what has been and is taught about the Holy
Spirit, but please keep an open mind about the subject until you examine all the
scriptures, then make a decision whether or not you will believe this truth. Remember as
you study this subject the following scripture in I John 4:6...

I John 4:6 -
6
We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By
this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.1

Let’s first look at the creation of man in Genesis 1:26-28...

Genesis 1:26-28 -
26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the
cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male
and female He created them. 28Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be
fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea,
over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”2

Holy Spirit 2 Mossie, R.D.

This is the reason that the Holy Spirit, as well as any demonic spirit, wants to inhabit a
human body, because the spirits have no real authority on the earth without operating
through humans. God has given Man dominion over every living thing on the earth. If
a spirit takes up residence in a human body, then the spirit can do its work. That is why
Jesus called himself the ‘Son of Man’. Because He was a human with the indwelling of
the Holy Spirit, just as we should be, (see John chapter 1 through 2:11).

John Chapter 1 through 2:11 -

John
Chapter 1
1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made. 4In Him was life, and the life was the
light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not
comprehend it.
6
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7This man came for a
witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8He was not that
Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light which gives
light to every man coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made
through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11He came to His own, and His own did
not receive Him. 12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become
children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13who were born, not of blood, nor of
the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15John bore
witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after
me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” 16And of His fullness we have all
received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth
came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son,
who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
19
Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from
Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed,
“I am not the Christ.” 21And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I
am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” 22Then they said to him, “Who
are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about
yourself?” 23He said: “I am
‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
“Make straight the way of the LORD,” ’
as the prophet Isaiah said.” 24Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees.
25
And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor
Elijah, nor the Prophet?” 26John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there
stands One among you whom you do not know. 27“It is He who, coming after me, is
preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.” 28These things were
done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Holy Spirit 3 Mossie, R.D.

29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The
Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30“This is He of whom I said,
‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31“I did
not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing
with water.” 32And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from
heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33“I did not know Him, but He who
sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending,
and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34“And I have
seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
35
Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. 36And looking at Jesus as
He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” 37The two disciples heard him speak,
and they followed Jesus. 38Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them,
“What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated,
Teacher), “where are You staying?” 39He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and
saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth
hour). 40One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon
Peter’s brother. 41He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found
the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). 42And he brought him to Jesus. Now when
Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called
Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).
43
The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to
him, “Follow Me.” 44Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45
Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the
law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46And
Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him,
“Come and see.” 47Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold,
an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” 48Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know
me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under
the fig tree, I saw you.” 49Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son
of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to
you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than
these.” 51And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see
heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

Chapter 2
1
On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus
was there. 2Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3And when
they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4Jesus said
to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet
come.” 5His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6Now there
were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews,
containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with
water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8And He said to them, “Draw some out now,
and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. 9When the master of the feast had
tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the
servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
Holy Spirit 4 Mossie, R.D.

10
And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the
guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”
11
This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and
His disciples believed in Him.3

So you see, Jesus did not, and indeed most likely could not, perform any miracles without
the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This did not happen until Jesus was 30 years old, John the
Baptist had baptized Him in water and then Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Afterward, Jesus spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness being tempted by Satan. Only
then did He came out in power and performed miracles. ALL Christians must follow the
same pattern, (see the handouts, ‘Christianity 101’, ‘Life in Christ’, and Matthew 3:13-
17 and Luke 4:1-15).

Matthew 3:13-17 -
13
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14And
John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to
me?” 15But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting
for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16When He had been baptized,
Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to
Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
17
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I
am well pleased.”4

Luke 4:1-15 -
1
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led
by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those
days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. 3And the devil
said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” 4But
Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word of God.’ ” 5Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him
all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6And the devil said to Him, “All this
authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it
to whomever I wish. 7“Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
8
And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall
worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” 9Then he brought Him to
Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of
God, throw Yourself down from here. 10“For it is written:
‘He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you,’

11
“and,
‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
12
And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the
LORD your God.’ ” 13Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from
Him until an opportune time.
14
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him
went out through all the surrounding region. 15And He taught in their synagogues,
being glorified by all.5

We also see from the scripture in John 1:14 above that Jesus was begotten of the Father,
NOT the Holy Spirit, (see also Psalm 2:7, Acts 13:33, Hebrews 1:1-6 and 5:5).

Psalm 2:7 -
7
“I will declare the decree:
The LORD has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.6

Acts 13:33 -
33
“God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is
also written in the second Psalm:
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.’7

Hebrews 1:1-6 -
1
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by
the prophets, 2has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed
heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3who being the brightness of
His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of
His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the
Majesty on high, 4having become so much better than the angels, as He has by
inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5
For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“You are My Son,

Today I have begotten You”?

And again:
“I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son”?
6
But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:
“Let all the angels of God worship Him.”8

Hebrews 5:5 -
5
So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said
to Him:
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.”9

We see in Genesis 1:26-28 above that God said humans were to be made in ‘OUR
image’. God then made humans male AND female. This implies that God is also male
and female in a spiritual sense, even though we do not know exactly what that means for
now. Nonetheless, since the pattern God made for humans who were created in the image
of God, and most animals for that matter, was both male and female, it stands to reason
then that this is true of God. The pattern was also established even from those and
related scriptures, that the male and female were to come together, ‘become one flesh’
and ‘multiply’. Thus the principle of ‘conception’ was created in the human race, (see
Genesis 2:24).

Genesis 2:24 -
24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they
shall become one flesh.10

The Bible says that Jesus was conceived OF the Holy Spirit. However a man CANNOT
conceive, only a woman. See the definition of the word ‘conceived’...

Let’s look further at the scriptures describing the event of the ‘immaculate conception’ of
Jesus within the Virgin Mary. It is generally taught, and I also believed wholeheartedly
for most of my life until God recently revealed this truth, that the Holy Spirit is the one
who made Mary pregnant with Jesus. However, I now believe that this does not make
sense with the Word or the symbolism of the human family in the earth, (see Matthew
1:18-25 and Luke 1:26-38).

Matthew 1:18-25 -
18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was
betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy
Spirit. 19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a
public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20But while he thought about
these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that
which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21“And she will bring forth a Son, and
you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22So all
this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the
prophet, saying: 23“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall
call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” 24Then Joseph, being
aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his
wife, 25and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called
His name JESUS.12

Luke 1:26-38 -
26
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named
Nazareth, 27to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of
David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28And having come in, the angel said to her,
“Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
29
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of
greeting this was. 30Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have
found favor with God. 31“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring
forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32“He will be great, and will be called the
Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33
“And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will
be no end.” 34Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a
man?” 35And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon
you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy
One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36“Now indeed, Elizabeth your
relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her
who was called barren. 37“For with God nothing will be impossible.” 38Then Mary said,
“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the
angel departed from her.13

And in another translation...

The Birth of Jesus Foretold

26
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a
village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man
named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28 Gabriel appeared to her and said,
“Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!”
29
Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t
be frightened, Mary,” the angel told her, “for God has decided to bless you! 31 You will
become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great
and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give him the throne
of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never
end!”
34
Mary asked the angel, “But how can I have a baby? I am a virgin.”
35
The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the
Most High will overshadow you. So the baby born to you will be holy, and he will be
called the Son of God. 36 What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in
her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she’s already in her sixth month. 37
For nothing is impossible with God.”

13The Holy Bible, New King James Version, (Nashville, Tennessee: Thomas Nelson,
Inc.) 1982.
Holy Spirit 9 Mossie, R.D.

38
Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he
wants. May everything you have said come true.” And then the angel left.14

In none of these scriptures does it say, or really imply, that the Holy Spirit was the one
who MADE Mary pregnant. How could this be if it was NOT the Holy Spirit who made
Mary pregnant? The answer is simple and is most apparent in Luke 1:35 in the New
Living Translation where it says that ‘the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power
of the Most High will overshadow you’. These are two distinct and separate events.

The word ‘upon’ in Luke 1:35, in which the Holy Spirit came ‘upon’ Mary, is translated
from the Greek word ‘epi’, (Strong’s number 1909), which really implies
‘superimposition’. This would then mean that the Holy Spirit was essentially taking
Mary’s place when the power of the Most High overshadowed her...

1909. ejpiv eápi, ep-ee´; a primary prep.; prop. mean. superimposition (of time,
place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution [with the gen.], i.e. over, upon, etc.; of rest
(with the dat.) at, on, etc.; of direction (with the acc.) toward, upon, etc.:— about (the
times), above, after, against, among, as long as (touching), at, beside, × have charge of,
(be-, [where-])fore, in (a place, as much as, the time of, -to), (because) of, (up-) on
(behalf of), over, (by, for) the space of, through (-out), (un-) to (-ward), with. In
compounds it retains essentially the same import, at, upon, etc. (lit. or fig.).15

What happened in the instance of ‘immaculate conception’ then is that the Holy Spirit
was ‘superimposed’ onto Mary and essentially ‘possessed’ her, then God the Father,
(i.e., the Most High) impregnated the Holy Spirit inside of Mary. Thus the child Jesus
was Holy, because He was completely from God, (i.e., God the Most High was the Father
and the Holy Spirit was the ‘Mother’) even though He was conceived within the human
body of Mary. In this way Jesus would have NO SIN NATURE within Him. In other
words, it was the Holy Spirit who conceived the child Jesus, who was begotten of the
Father and Mary was only the ‘surrogate’ mother and Joseph was the ‘surrogate’
father. Thus, God the Father had, in a spiritual sense, intercourse with His wife the Holy
Spirit, within the ‘temple’ of Mary’s body and this act resulted in the conception of their
Son Jesus. The conception was then left in human form to come into the world legally as
the ‘Son of Man’ in order for Him to be able to have authority and dominion to operate
in the earth as any man would. However, since Jesus has been around forever compared
to our time, (which is something that we have difficulty wrapping our minds around), this
‘immaculate conception’ was only symbolic of the heavenly things and for the purpose of
leading those obedient believers in Jesus into the kingdom of God, (see Hebrews chapter
2).

Chapter 2
1
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we
drift away. 2For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just reward, 3how shall we escape if we neglect
so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed
to us by those who heard Him, 4God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders,
with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
5
For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.
6
But one testified in a certain place, saying:
“What is man that You are mindful of him,
Or the son of man that You take care of him?
7
You have made him a little lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And set him over the works of Your hands.
8
You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”
For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put
under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9But we see Jesus,
who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with
glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
10
For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect
through sufferings. 11For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified
are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12saying:
“I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
13
And again:
“I will put My trust in Him.”
And again:
“Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”
14
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself
likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the
power of death, that is, the devil, 15and release those who through fear of death were
all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but
He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17Therefore, in all things He had to be
made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in
things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18For in
that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are
tempted.16

Now let’s look at some other scriptures that will give support to the concept that the Holy
Spirit is female. When God created the woman whom Adam later named Eve, the
scriptures say that God created her to be Adam’s ‘helper’, (see Genesis 2:18-23).

Genesis 2:18-23 -
18
And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make
him a helper comparable to him.” 19Out of the ground the LORD God formed every
beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he
would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20So
Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But
for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. 21And the LORD God caused a
deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the
flesh in its place. 22Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a
woman, and He brought her to the man. 23And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”17

Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as the ‘Helper’, (see John 14:15-17 & Vv. 25-26, 15:26
and 16:7).

John 14:15-17 & 25-26 -

15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16“And I will pray the Father, and He
will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17“the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but
you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.18
25
“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26“But the Helper,
the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.19

John 15:26 -
26
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.20

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go
away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.21

At this point you are probably wondering how I can say that the Holy Spirit is female if
Jesus used the word ‘He’ when referring to the Holy Spirit. The answer once again is
quite simple. The word translated in the modern New Testament as ‘He’ is the Greek
word ‘autos’, (Strong’s number 846).

846. aujtov" autoás, au\ au [perh. akin to the base of 109 through the idea of a baffling
wind] (backward); the refl. pron. self, used (alone or in the comp. 1438) of the third pers.,
and (with the proper pers. pron.) of the other persons:— her, it (-self), one, the other,
(mine) own, said, ([self-], the) same, ([him-, my-, thy-]) self, [your-] selves, she, that,
their (-s), them ([-selves]), there [-at, -by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with], they, (these) things,
this (man), those, together, very, which. comp. 848.22

The first rendition in English for this word is HER! Thus the word that is translated as
‘He’ when Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit could be, and should be, translated as ‘Her’.
How is it possible that this misconception of the Holy Spirit could have been
incorporated into the scriptures without many people in mainstream Christianity picking
it up before now? The answer to this question is also straightforward. God simply did not
want it to be revealed until now! His mysteries are kept hidden until the time of revelation
is necessary in order to fulfill His purposes in the earth. Now is the time for this to be
revealed. The reason for this is found in Isaiah chapter 4:1...

Isaiah 4:1 -

4 In that day few men will be left alive. Seven women will fight over each of them and
say, “Let us all marry you! We will provide our own food and clothing. Only let us
be called by your name so we won’t be mocked as old maids.”23

This speaks of an end-time event in which so many men will be killed in the upcoming
wars, famines, plagues and natural disasters that there will literally be a shortage of men
in the earth. However, this scripture also refers to the end-time plan of God in the earth
to fulfill His plan for mankind. Since sin was ushered into the world through one
unrighteous wife of one unrighteous man, and God repays seven times over when He is

wronged, then in the end-of-days just before Jesus comes back, there will be in many
cases seven righteous wives for every one righteous man. This will be as a pay back to
the devil for what he did in the Garden of Eden, (see Genesis 4:9-15, Leviticus 26:14-46,
and Proverbs 6:30-31; Apocrypha of the Old Testament, II Esdras 16:18-34).

Genesis 4:9-15 -
9
Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am
I my brother’s keeper?” 10And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your
brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11“So now you are cursed from the
earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
12
“When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a
vagabond you shall be on the earth.” 13And Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is
greater than I can bear! 14“Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the
ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the
earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.” 15And the LORD said to
him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.”
And the LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.24

Leviticus 26:14-46 -

Punishments for Disobedience

14
“However, if you do not listen to me or obey my commands, 15 and if you break my
covenant by rejecting my laws and treating my regulations with contempt, 16 I will punish
you. You will suffer from sudden terrors, with wasting diseases, and with burning fevers,
causing your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain
because your enemies will eat them. 17 I will turn against you, and you will be defeated
by all your enemies. They will rule over you, and you will run even when no one is
chasing you!
18
“And if, in spite of this, you still disobey me, I will punish you for your sins
seven times over. 19 I will break down your arrogant spirit by making the skies above as
unyielding as iron and the earth beneath as hard as bronze. 20 All your work will be for
nothing, for your land will yield no crops, and your trees will bear no fruit.
21
“If even then you remain hostile toward me and refuse to obey, I will inflict you
with seven more disasters for your sins. 22 I will release wild animals that will kill your
children and destroy your cattle, so your numbers will dwindle and your roads will be
deserted.
23
“And if you fail to learn a lesson from this and continue your hostility toward
me, 24 then I myself will be hostile toward you, and I will personally strike you seven
times over for your sins. 25 I will send armies against you to carry out these covenant
threats. If you flee to your cities, I will send a plague to destroy you there, and you will
be conquered by your enemies. 26 I will completely destroy your food supply, so the
bread from one oven will have to be stretched to feed ten families. They will ration your
food by weight, and even if you have food to eat, you will not be satisfied.

24The Holy Bible, New King James Version, (Nashville, Tennessee: Thomas Nelson,

Holy Spirit 14 Mossie, R.D.

27
“If after this you still refuse to listen and still remain hostile toward me, 28 then
I will give full vent to my hostility. I will punish you seven times over for your sins.
29
You will eat the flesh of your own sons and daughters. 30 I will destroy your pagan
shrines and cut down your incense altars. I will leave your corpses piled up beside your
lifeless idols, and I will despise you. 31 I will make your cities desolate and destroy your
places of worship, and I will take no pleasure in your offerings of incense. 32 Yes, I
myself will devastate your land. Your enemies who come to occupy it will be utterly
shocked at the destruction they see. 33 I will scatter you among the nations and attack you
with my own weapons. Your land will become desolate, and your cities will lie in ruins.
34
Then at last the land will make up for its missed Sabbath years as it lies desolate during
your years of exile in the land of your enemies. Then the land will finally rest and enjoy
its Sabbaths. 35 As the land lies in ruins, it will take the rest you never allowed it to take
every seventh year while you lived in it.
36
“And for those of you who survive, I will demoralize you in the land of your
enemies far away. You will live there in such constant fear that the sound of a leaf driven
by the wind will send you fleeing. You will run as though chased by a warrior with a
sword, and you will fall even when no one is pursuing you. 37 Yes, though no one is
chasing you, you will stumble over each other in flight, as though fleeing in battle. You
will have no power to stand before your enemies. 38 You will die among the foreign
nations and be devoured in the land of your enemies. 39 Those still left alive will rot away
in enemy lands because of their sins and the sins of their ancestors.
40
“But at last my people will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors for
betraying me and being hostile toward me. 41 Finally, when I have given full expression
to my hostility and have brought them to the land of their enemies, then at last their
disobedient hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins. 42 Then I will
remember my covenant with Jacob, with Isaac, and with Abraham, and I will remember
the land. 43 And the land will enjoy its years of Sabbath rest as it lies deserted. At last the
people will receive the due punishment for their sins, for they rejected my regulations and
despised my laws.
44
“But despite all this, I will not utterly reject or despise them while they are in exile
in the land of their enemies. I will not cancel my covenant with them by wiping them out.
I, the LORD, am their God. 45 I will remember my ancient covenant with their ancestors,
whom I brought out of Egypt while all the nations watched. I, the LORD, am their God.”
46
These are the laws, regulations, and instructions that the LORD gave to the Israelites
through Moses on Mount Sinai.25

Proverbs 6:30-31 -

II Esdras 16:18-34 -
The Horror of the Last Days
18
The beginning of sorrows, when there shall be much lamentation; the beginning of
famine, when many shall perish; the beginning of wars, when the powers shall be
terrified; the beginning of calamities, when all shall tremble. What shall they do, when
the calamities come? 19 Famine and plague, tribulation and anguish are sent as scourges
for the correction of humankind. 20 Yet for all this they will not turn from their iniquities,
or ever be mindful of the scourges. 21 Indeed, provisions will be so cheap upon earth that
people will imagine that peace is assured for them, and then calamities shall spring up on
the earth—the sword, famine, and great confusion. 22 For many of those who live on the
earth shall perish by famine; and those who survive the famine shall die by the sword. 23
And the dead shall be thrown out like dung, and there shall be no one to console them;
for the earth shall be left desolate, and its cities shall be demolished. 24 No one shall be
left to cultivate the earth or to sow it. 25 The trees shall bear fruit, but who will gather it?
26
The grapes shall ripen, but who will tread them? For in all places there shall be great
solitude; 27 a person will long to see another human being, or even to hear a human voice.
28
For ten shall be left out of a city; and two, out of the field, those who have hidden
themselves in thick groves and clefts in the rocks. 29 Just as in an olive orchard three or
four olives may be left on every tree, 30 or just as, when a vineyard is gathered, some
clusters may be left by those who search carefully through the vineyard, 31 so in those
days three or four shall be left by those who search their houses with the sword. 32 The
earth shall be left desolate, and its fields shall be plowed up, and its roads and all its paths
shall bring forth thorns, because no sheep will go along them. 33 Virgins shall mourn
because they have no bridegrooms; women shall mourn because they have no
husbands; their daughters shall mourn, because they have no help. 34 Their
bridegrooms shall be killed in war, and their husbands shall perish of famine.27

This relationship of polygamy will be forced upon the earth, but is in the plan of God in
order to complete His symbolic pattern for humankind to ‘mirror’ the family of God. All
those true Christians who want to fulfill God’s purposes in the earth and are willing to be
obedient to God in all regards will accept this arrangement without any issues of
jealousy, competition or any other ‘works of the flesh’, because it is purely a spiritual
issue of obedience to God and to His Word and way. This symbolism of seven wives for
each man is the ‘new thing’ that God speaks of in Isaiah chapter 43. Seven is God’s
number of completeness and eight is the number of newness and represents eternity, (the
number 8 turned on its side is the symbol for infinity - ∞). Therefore, seven women and
one man are eight in total. This is the ‘new thing’ that God will be doing in the earth just
before the return of Jesus. God instructs us in Isaiah 43 not to even remember the old
ways, which includes monogamy. This is because the Holy Spirit represents the ‘Mother’,
if you will, of Jesus and the ‘Wives’ of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is actually SEVEN
spirits plus the Father equals eight. Even Jesus will have ‘multiple wives’ as represented
by the multitudes of different types of people who will make up the bride of Christ, the

church. The Holy Spirit is the ‘bridesmaid’, (see Psalm 45:5-9, esp. v. 9, Isaiah 43:18-19,
Revelation 1:4-7, 3:1, 4:5, 5:6, 19:7-8 and 22:16-17).

Psalm 45:5-9 - (speaking of Jesus)

6
Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.
Your royal power is expressed in justice.
7
You love what is right and hate what is wrong.
Therefore God, your God, has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.
8
Your robes are perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cassia.
In palaces decorated with ivory,
you are entertained by the music of harps.
9
Kings’ daughters are among your concubines.
At your right side stands the queen,
wearing jewelry of finest gold from Ophir!28

(Concubines are secondary wives.)

Isaiah 43:18-19 -
18
“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.29

Revelation 1:4-7 -

John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from
the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness,
the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved
us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6and has made us kings and priests to
His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, He
is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all
the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.30

Revelation 5:6 -

in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns
and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.33

Revelation 19:7-8 -
7
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has
come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8And to her it was granted to be arrayed in
fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.34

Revelation 22:16-17 -
16
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the
Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” 17And the Spirit and
the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts
come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.35

Marriage and sexual intercourse between a man and His wife are purely symbolic of
Christ joining with His ‘wife’ the church. Both marriage and sexual intercourse will be
done away with when Jesus comes back, because we will be changed to become like the
angels. We will not be male and female in the sense that we know it in the flesh and we

will not marry or be given in marriage. We will all be ‘married’ to Jesus, (see Matthew
22:23-33 and Ephesians 5:31-32).

Matthew 22:23-33 -
23
The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and
asked Him, 24saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his
brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 25“Now there were
with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left
his wife to his brother. 26“Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh.
27
“Last of all the woman died also. 28“Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the
seven will she be? For they all had her.” 29Jesus answered and said to them, “You are
mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30“For in the resurrection
they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.
31
“But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you
by God, saying, 32‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” 33And when the multitudes heard this,
they were astonished at His teaching.36

Ephesians 5:31-32 -
31
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and
the two shall become one flesh.” 32This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ
and the church.37

Therefore, God did not have a problem with polygamy in the Old Testament, nor does He
have a problem with it today. Actually the term should technically be ‘polygyny’, which
has become synonymous with polygamy - one husband and multiple wives, NOT
polyandry - one wife and multiple husbands, which is against the ways of God. People
will try to refute this concept with the scriptures in Timothy, but Paul was speaking of a
specific situation for his time, which is of the ‘former ways’ that we are not supposed to
remember when God does this ‘new thing’, (see Isaiah 43:18-19 above). Polygamy is
part of the plan of God for the end-of-days and it will become widespread as the end
nears and no one can stop it, since it is the will of God.

Another concept that the Bible puts forth giving us the impression that the Holy Spirit is
female is that the Spirit of God leads us into the wisdom of Jesus, understanding of the
Holy Spirit and knowledge of the Father, (see the handouts, ‘UNDERSTANDING - The
Key to Eternity’ and ‘KNOWLEDGE - The Key to Perfection’, Exodus 28:3, Proverbs
1:20 through chapter 2, 3:13-26, 4:1-13, 7:1-5 and 8:1-9:12).

“So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of
wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister
to Me as priest.38

Proverbs 1:20-33 - 2:22 -

20
Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
21
She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
22
“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
23
Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24
Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25
Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26
I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27
When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
28
“Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29
Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD,
30
They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.
31
Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
32
For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33
But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

1
My son, if you receive my words,

Holy Spirit 20 Mossie, R.D.

And treasure my commands within you,

2
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5
Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.
6
For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8
He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
9
Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.
10
When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
11
Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
12
To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
13
From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness;
14
Who rejoice in doing evil,
And delight in the perversity of the wicked;
15
Whose ways are crooked,
And who are devious in their paths;
16
To deliver you from the immoral woman,
From the seductress who flatters with her words,
17
Who forsakes the companion of her youth,
And forgets the covenant of her God.
18
For her house leads down to death,
And her paths to the dead;
19
None who go to her return,
Nor do they regain the paths of life—
20
So you may walk in the way of goodness,
And keep to the paths of righteousness.
21
For the upright will dwell in the land,
And the blameless will remain in it;
22
But the wicked will be cut off from the earth,
And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.39

Proverbs 3:13-26 -

13
Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
14
For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
15
She is more precious than rubies,
And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
16
Length of days is in her right hand,
In her left hand riches and honor.
17
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
18
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who retain her.
19
The LORD by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding He established the heavens;
20
By His knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.
21
My son, let them not depart from your eyes—
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22
So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
23
Then you will walk safely in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
24
When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25
Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26
For the LORD will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught.40

Proverbs 4:1-13 -
1
Hear, my children, the instruction of a father,
And give attention to know understanding;
2
For I give you good doctrine:
Do not forsake my law.
3
When I was my father’s son,
Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,
4
He also taught me, and said to me:
“Let your heart retain my words;
Keep my commands, and live.

5
Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
6
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.
7
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
8
Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
9
She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
A crown of glory she will deliver to you.”
10
Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many.
11
I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths.
12
When you walk, your steps will not be hindered,
And when you run, you will not stumble.
13
Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go;
Keep her, for she is your life.41

Proverbs 7:1-5 -
1
My son, keep my words,
And treasure my commands within you.
2
Keep my commands and live,
And my law as the apple of your eye.
3
Bind them on your fingers;
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4
Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
And call understanding your nearest kin,
5
That they may keep you from the immoral woman,
From the seductress who flatters with her words.42

Proverbs 8:1-9:12 -
Chapter 8
1
Does not wisdom cry out,
And understanding lift up her voice?
2
She takes her stand on the top of the high hill,
Beside the way, where the paths meet.
3
She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city,

At the entrance of the doors:

4
“To you, O men, I call,
And my voice is to the sons of men.
5
O you simple ones, understand prudence,
And you fools, be of an understanding heart.
6
Listen, for I will speak of excellent things,
And from the opening of my lips will come right things;
7
For my mouth will speak truth;
Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8
All the words of my mouth are with righteousness;
Nothing crooked or perverse is in them.
9
They are all plain to him who understands,
And right to those who find knowledge.
10
Receive my instruction, and not silver,
And knowledge rather than choice gold;
11
For wisdom is better than rubies,
And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.
12
“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion.
13
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.
14
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, I have strength.
15
By me kings reign,
And rulers decree justice.
16
By me princes rule, and nobles,
All the judges of the earth.
17
I love those who love me,
And those who seek me diligently will find me.
18
Riches and honor are with me,
Enduring riches and righteousness.
19
My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold,
And my revenue than choice silver.
20
I traverse the way of righteousness,
In the midst of the paths of justice,
21
That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth,
That I may fill their treasuries.
22
“The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way,
Before His works of old.
23
I have been established from everlasting,
From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.
24
When there were no depths I was brought forth,
When there were no fountains abounding with water.
25
Before the mountains were settled,
Before the hills, I was brought forth;

While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields,
Or the primeval dust of the world.
27
When He prepared the heavens, I was there,
When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
28
When He established the clouds above,
When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,
29
When He assigned to the sea its limit,
So that the waters would not transgress His command,
When He marked out the foundations of the earth,
30
Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him,
31
Rejoicing in His inhabited world,
And my delight was with the sons of men.
32
“Now therefore, listen to me, my children,
For blessed are those who keep my ways.
33
Hear instruction and be wise,
And do not disdain it.
34
Blessed is the man who listens to me,
Watching daily at my gates,
Waiting at the posts of my doors.
35
For whoever finds me finds life,
And obtains favor from the LORD;
36
But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul;
All those who hate me love death.”

Chapter 9
1
Wisdom has built her house,
She has hewn out her seven pillars;
2
She has slaughtered her meat,
She has mixed her wine,
She has also furnished her table.
3
She has sent out her maidens,
She cries out from the highest places of the city,
4
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
5
“Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
6
Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.
7
“He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.
8
Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you;
Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11
For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.
12
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,
And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”43

As we saw above, it was not until Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit and spent 40 days
and nights in the wilderness did He receive the power to do miracles. We were also
promised the ‘Baptism of the Holy Spirit’, (see Mark 1:1-8).

Mark 1:1-8 -

John the Baptist Prepares the Way

1 Here begins the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.
2
In the book of the prophet Isaiah, God said,
“Look, I am sending my messenger before you,
and he will prepare your way.
3
He is a voice shouting in the wilderness:
‘Prepare a pathway for the Lord’s coming!
Make a straight road for him!’ ”
4
This messenger was John the Baptist. He lived in the wilderness and was preaching that
people should be baptized to show that they had turned from their sins and turned to God
to be forgiven. 5 People from Jerusalem and from all over Judea traveled out into the
wilderness to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in
the Jordan River. 6 His clothes were woven from camel hair, and he wore a leather belt;
his food was locusts and wild honey. 7 He announced: “Someone is coming soon who
is far greater than I am—so much greater that I am not even worthy to be his slave.
8
I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”44

With the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are promised the powers that come with that
baptism, (see Luke 9:1-3).

Luke 9:1-3 -

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

9 One day Jesus called together his twelve apostles and gave them power and authority to
cast out demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about
the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.45

Holy Spirit 26 Mossie, R.D.

The New King James Version puts it this way in Luke 9:1-2 -
1
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all
demons, and to cure diseases. 2He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal
the sick.46

Jesus said of His followers, (and this includes followers today)…

Mark 16:15-20 -
15
And then he (the resurrected Jesus) told them, “Go into all the world and preach the
Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be
saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will
accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will
speak new languages. 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they
drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands
on the sick and heal them.”
19
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and
sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 20 And the disciples went everywhere
and preached, and the Lord worked with them, confirming what they said by many
miraculous signs.47

We must seek to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. This may come at once or over a period
of time, depending on the individual’s desire and effort to draw close to God and the
Holy Spirit, (see Ezekiel 47:1-5, Acts chapter 1:1-11 and 2:1-47).

Ezekiel 47:1-5 -
1
Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing
from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced
east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. 2He
brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer
gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side.
3
And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one
thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles.
4
Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up
to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came
up to my waist. 5Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not

cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be
crossed.48

Acts 1:1-11 -
1 Dear Theophilus:
In my first book I told you about everything Jesus began to do and teach 2 until the day he
ascended to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions from the Holy
Spirit. 3 During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time
to time and proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. On these occasions
he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.
4
In one of these meetings as he was eating a meal with them, he told them, “Do not leave
Jerusalem until the Father sends you what he promised. Remember, I have told you about
this before. 5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with
the Holy Spirit.”

The Ascension of Jesus

6
When the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, are you going to free
Israel now and restore our kingdom?”
7
“The Father sets those dates,” he replied, “and they are not for you to know. 8 But when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me
everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9
It was not long after he said this that he was taken up into the sky while they were
watching, and he disappeared into a cloud. 10 As they were straining their eyes to see him,
two white-robed men suddenly stood there among them. 11 They said, “Men of Galilee,
why are you standing here staring at the sky? Jesus has been taken away from you into
heaven. And someday, just as you saw him go, he will return!”49

Acts 2:1-47 -

The Holy Spirit Comes

2 On the day of Pentecost, seven weeks after Jesus’ resurrection, the believers were
meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring
of a mighty windstorm in the skies above them, and it filled the house where they were
meeting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each
of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in
other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Holy Spirit 28 Mossie, R.D.

5
Godly Jews from many nations were living in Jerusalem at that time. 6 When they heard
this sound, they came running to see what it was all about, and they were bewildered to
hear their own languages being spoken by the believers.
7
They were beside themselves with wonder. “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “These
people are all from Galilee, 8 and yet we hear them speaking the languages of the lands
where we were born! 9 Here we are—Parthians, Medes, Elamites, people from
Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, the province of Asia, 10 Phrygia, Pamphylia,
Egypt, and the areas of Libya toward Cyrene, visitors from Rome (both Jews and
converts to Judaism), 11 Cretans, and Arabians. And we all hear these people speaking in
our own languages about the wonderful things God has done!” 12 They stood there
amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?” they asked each other. 13 But others in the
crowd were mocking. “They’re drunk, that’s all!” they said.

Peter Preaches to a Crowd

14
Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd,
“Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake
about this. 15 Some of you are saying these people are drunk. It isn’t true! It’s much too
early for that. People don’t get drunk by nine o’clock in the morning. 16 No, what you see
this morning was predicted centuries ago by the prophet Joel:

17
‘In the last days, God said,
I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.
18
In those days I will pour out my Spirit
upon all my servants, men and women alike,
and they will prophesy.
19
And I will cause wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below—
blood and fire and clouds of smoke.
20
The sun will be turned into darkness,
and the moon will turn bloodred,
before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives.
21
And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved.’
22
“People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing wonderful
miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know. 23 But you followed God’s
prearranged plan. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to the cross and
murdered him. 24 However, God released him from the horrors of death and raised him
back to life again, for death could not keep him in its grip. 25 King David said this about
him:
‘I know the Lord is always with me.
Holy Spirit 29 Mossie, R.D.

I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

26
No wonder my heart is filled with joy,
and my mouth shouts his praises!
My body rests in hope.
27
For you will not leave my soul among the dead
or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.
28
You have shown me the way of life,
and you will give me wonderful joy in your presence.’

29
“Dear brothers, think about this! David wasn’t referring to himself when he spoke
these words I have quoted, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among
us. 30 But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of
David’s own descendants would sit on David’s throne as the Messiah. 31 David was
looking into the future and predicting the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that the
Messiah would not be left among the dead and that his body would not rot in the grave.
32
“This prophecy was speaking of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and we all are
witnesses of this. 33 Now he sits on the throne of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right
hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us,
just as you see and hear today. 34 For David himself never ascended into heaven, yet he
said,
‘The LORD said to my Lord,
Sit in honor at my right hand
35
until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.’
36
So let it be clearly known by everyone in Israel that God has made this Jesus whom
you crucified to be both Lord and Messiah!”
37
Peter’s words convicted them deeply, and they said to him and to the other apostles,
“Brothers, what should we do?”
38
Peter replied, “Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift
of the Holy Spirit. 39 This promise is to you and to your children, and even to the
Gentiles—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” 40 Then Peter continued
preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this
generation that has gone astray!”
41
Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church—about
three thousand in all. 42 They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to
the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, sharing in the Lord’s Supper and in prayer.

The Believers Meet Together

Holy Spirit 30 Mossie, R.D.

43
A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous
signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything
they had. 45 They sold their possessions and shared the proceeds with those in need. 46
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper,
and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—47 all the while praising God and
enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those
who were being saved.50

Now these signs and miraculous wonders cannot occur without a willing human vessel to
channel, if you will, the power of the Holy Spirit. And even if these signs and wonders
occur, often there will be doubters and unbelievers. Look again in Acts, chapter 14:1-
7…

Acts 14:1-7 -

14 In Iconium, Paul and Barnabas went together to the synagogue and preached with
such power that a great number of both Jews and Gentiles believed. 2 But the Jews who
spurned God’s message stirred up distrust among the Gentiles against Paul and Barnabas,
saying all sorts of evil things about them. 3 The apostles stayed there a long time,
preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. The Lord proved their message was true by
giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders. 4 But the people of the city were
divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the
apostles.
5
A mob of Gentiles and Jews, along with their leaders, decided to attack and stone them.
6
When the apostles learned of it, they fled for their lives. They went to the region of
Lycaonia, to the cities of Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding area, 7 and they preached
the Good News there.51

This is the Spirit that we must seek to invite into our lives. If we do, then we will have the
‘Fruits of the Spirit’ with His presence, (see Galatians 5:16-26).

Galatians 5:16-26 -

16
So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won’t be
doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is
just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are
opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting
each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict. 18 But when you are
directed by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer subject to the law.

51Holy Bible, New Living Translation, (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.)
1996.
Holy Spirit 31 Mossie, R.D.

19
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil
results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, 20 idolatry,
participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger,
selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own
little group, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you
again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of
God.
22
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-
control. Here there is no conflict with the law.
24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful
nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let
us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become
conceited, or irritate one another, or be jealous of one another.52

Also, when we have the Holy Spirit fully in control of our lives, then we will begin to
receive the ‘Spiritual Gifts’ from the power of the Holy Spirit, (see I Corinthians 12:1 -
Chapter 14:25)

I Corinthians 12:1 - Chapter 14:25 -

Spiritual Gifts
12 And now, dear brothers and sisters, I will write about the special abilities the Holy
Spirit gives to each of us, for I must correct your misunderstandings about them. 2 You
know that when you were still pagans you were led astray and swept along in worshiping
speechless idols. 3 So I want you to know how to discern what is truly from God: No one
speaking by the Spirit of God can curse Jesus, and no one is able to say, “Jesus is Lord,”
except by the Holy Spirit.
4
Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the
source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service in the church, but it is the same
Lord we are serving. 6 There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same
God who does the work through all of us. 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a
means of helping the entire church.
8
To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another he gives
the gift of special knowledge. 9 The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to
someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. 10 He gives one person the power to
perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the
ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is
speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,

52Holy Bible, New Living Translation, (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.)
1996.
Holy Spirit 32 Mossie, R.D.

and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and
only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person
should have.

One Body with Many Parts

12
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is
with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and
some are free. But we have all been baptized into Christ’s body by one Spirit, and we
have all received the same Spirit.
14
Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15 If the foot says, “I am not a
part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the
body. 16 And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am only an ear and not
an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 17 Suppose the whole body were
an eye—then how would you hear? Or if your whole body were just one big ear, how
could you smell anything?
18
But God made our bodies with many parts, and he has put each part just where he
wants it. 19 What a strange thing a body would be if it had only one part! 20 Yes, there are
many parts, but only one body. 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.”
The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
22
In fact, some of the parts that seem weakest and least important are really the most
necessary. 23 And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the
greatest care. So we carefully protect from the eyes of others those parts that should not
be seen, 24 while other parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body
together in such a way that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less
dignity. 25 This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for
each other equally. 26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is
honored, all the parts are glad.
27
Now all of you together are Christ’s body, and each one of you is a separate and
necessary part of it. 28 Here is a list of some of the members that God has placed in the
body of Christ:
first are apostles,
second are prophets,
third are teachers,
then those who do miracles,
those who have the gift of healing,
those who can help others,
those who can get others to work together,
those who speak in unknown languages.
29
Is everyone an apostle? Of course not. Is everyone a prophet? No. Are all teachers?
Does everyone have the power to do miracles? 30 Does everyone have the gift of healing?
Of course not. Does God give all of us the ability to speak in unknown languages? Can
Holy Spirit 33 Mossie, R.D.

31
everyone interpret unknown languages? No! And in any event, you should desire the
most helpful gifts.

Love Is the Greatest

First, however, let me tell you about something else that is better than any of them!

13 If I could speak in any language in heaven or on earth but didn’t love others, I would
only be making meaningless noise like a loud gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the
gift of prophecy, and if I knew all the mysteries of the future and knew everything about
everything, but didn’t love others, what good would I be? And if I had the gift of faith so
that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, without love I would be no good to
anybody. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could
boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would be of no value whatsoever.
4
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. Love does
not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been
wronged. 6 It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every
circumstance.
8
Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special
knowledge will all disappear. 9 Now we know only a little, and even the gift of prophecy
reveals little! 10 But when the end comes, these special gifts will all disappear.
11
It’s like this: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But
when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor
mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial
and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now.
13
There are three things that will endure—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of
these is love.

The Gifts of Tongues and Prophecy

14 Let love be your highest goal, but also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives,
especially the gift of prophecy. 2 For if your gift is the ability to speak in tongues, you
will be talking to God but not to people, since they won’t be able to understand you. You
will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious. 3 But one who
prophesies is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and comforting them. 4 A
person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally in the Lord, but one who speaks
a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church.
5
I wish you all had the gift of speaking in tongues, but even more I wish you were all
able to prophesy. For prophecy is a greater and more useful gift than speaking in tongues,
unless someone interprets what you are saying so that the whole church can get some
good out of it.
Holy Spirit 34 Mossie, R.D.

6
Dear brothers and sisters, if I should come to you talking in an unknown language, how
would that help you? But if I bring you some revelation or some special knowledge or
some prophecy or some teaching—that is what will help you. 7 Even musical instruments
like the flute or the harp, though they are lifeless, are examples of the need for speaking
in plain language. For no one will recognize the melody unless the notes are played
clearly. 8 And if the bugler doesn’t sound a clear call, how will the soldiers know they are
being called to battle? 9 And it’s the same for you. If you talk to people in a language they
don’t understand, how will they know what you mean? You might as well be talking to
an empty room.
10
There are so many different languages in the world, and all are excellent for those who
understand them, 11 but to me they mean nothing. I will not understand people who speak
those languages, and they will not understand me. 12 Since you are so eager to have
spiritual gifts, ask God for those that will be of real help to the whole church.
13
So anyone who has the gift of speaking in tongues should pray also for the gift of
interpretation in order to tell people plainly what has been said. 14 For if I pray in tongues,
my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying.
15
Well then, what shall I do? I will do both. I will pray in the spirit, and I will pray in
words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will sing in words I understand. 16 For if
you praise God only in the spirit, how can those who don’t understand you praise God
along with you? How can they join you in giving thanks when they don’t understand
what you are saying? 17 You will be giving thanks very nicely, no doubt, but it doesn’t
help the other people present.
18
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 But in a church meeting I
would much rather speak five understandable words that will help others than ten
thousand words in an unknown language.
20
Dear brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your understanding of these things. Be
innocent as babies when it comes to evil, but be mature and wise in understanding
matters of this kind. 21 It is written in the Scriptures,
“I will speak to my own people
through unknown languages
and through the lips of foreigners.
But even then, they will not listen to me,”
says the Lord.
22
So you see that speaking in tongues is a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers;
prophecy, however, is for the benefit of believers, not unbelievers. 23 Even so, if
unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things come into your meeting and
hear everyone talking in an unknown language, they will think you are crazy. 24 But if all
of you are prophesying, and unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things
come into your meeting, they will be convicted of sin, and they will be condemned by

what you say. 25 As they listen, their secret thoughts will be laid bare, and they will fall
down on their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is really here among you.”53

So you see, we are supposed to allow the Holy Spirit to fill us up completely. If this
happens, there will be no room for any other spiritual, (i.e., demonic spirits), influence on
your life, (see II Timothy 1:3-11).

II Timothy 1:3-11 -

Encouragement to Be Faithful
3
Timothy, I thank God for you. He is the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my
ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 I long to see you
again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are
together again.
5
I know that you sincerely trust the Lord, for you have the faith of your mother, Eunice,
and your grandmother, Lois. 6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual
gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of
fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 8 So you must never be ashamed
to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in
prison for Christ. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the
proclamation of the Good News.
9
It is God who saved us and chose us to live a holy life. He did this not because we
deserved it, but because that was his plan long before the world began—to show his love
and kindness to us through Christ Jesus. 10 And now he has made all of this plain to us by
the coming of Christ Jesus, our Savior, who broke the power of death and showed us the
way to everlasting life through the Good News. 11 And God chose me to be a preacher, an
apostle, and a teacher of this Good News.54, (Emphasis added.)

So begin to get to know the Holy Spirit on an intimate level and the Holy Spirit will
guide your life in Christ. PRAY TO GOD AND ASK JESUS TO BAPTIZE YOU IN
THE HOLY SPIRIT. This baptism is in addition to water baptism and must come from
Jesus Himself. It may come when you least expect it! Speaking in tongues may or may
not occur. Speaking in unknown tongues is a sure sign that the baptism of the Holy
Spirit has come on you, but it is NOT necessary. When you and others see the
difference in your life and how powerful your walk with God becomes… this is the
most important sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit! You will become a more
effective Christian. This is the POWER of God that will allow you to overcome the
works of Satan. Then you will be able to do what Christ instructed us to do in Matthew
28:16-20…

Matthew 28:16-20 -

The Great Commission

16
Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told
them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them still doubted!
18
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given complete authority in heaven and
on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey
all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to
the end of the age.”55

Apart from Jesus we can do nothing, (see chapter John 15).

John Chapter 15 -
Chapter 15
1
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2“Every branch in Me that does
not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear
more fruit. 3“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it
abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are
the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me
you can do nothing. 6“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and
is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are
burned. 7“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you
desire, and it shall be done for you. 8“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear
much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
9
“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10“If you keep My
commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s
commandments and abide in His love. 11“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy
may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12“This is My commandment, that you
love one another as I have loved you. 13“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay
down one’s life for his friends. 14“You are My friends if you do whatever I command
you. 15“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is
doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have
made known to you. 16“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that
you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the
Father in My name He may give you. 17“These things I command you, that you love one
another.
18
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19“If you
were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world,
but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20“Remember the word
that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they

will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21“But all these
things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent
Me. 22“If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have
no excuse for their sin. 23“He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24“If I had not done
among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have
seen and also hated both Me and My Father. 25“But this happened that the word might be
fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’
26
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27“And you also
will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.56

The Holy Spirit is our Mother, Helper, Counselor, Friend and source of God’s spiritual
gifts of power. She seals us for the day of redemption, but just as Jesus could not do
miracles before He was baptized in the Holy Spirit, this pattern is for us as well. Without
the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we have no power against the devil and His wiles.
However, with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and daily growth in Jesus through the
leading and guiding of the Spirit, (i.e., abiding in Jesus and getting filled with the Holy
Spirit daily) we can defeat the enemy and enter into the kingdom of God where we will
dwell in the presence of God forever. Amen!
