9. Social media communication is very engaging yet challenging. People often say
what they wanted to, however, the freedom to say what you want is not absolute.
How would you observe and adhere to the ethical communication practices in
social media? Explain (15pts)

Based on my personal experience I can observe to the ethical

communication practices in social media is that many people tend to over share their
personal information , their feelings , their every day living and whats happening in
their life on social media. As a result to a prone I mean a dangerous to their life and
even property, cause as you all know now hackers are every where so you better not
over share your personal information in the social media. And a lot of person who
use social media use this platform to do wrong things such as bullying and harassing
others which is in appropriate.

So because of that I can adhere ethical communication practices in social

media by means of what I said above that not to over share my personal information
in social media because its dangerous and of course be a responsible users that we
should always put into our mind what we post , what we share and what we
comment in social media cause people have different perspective in life.

10. How does globalization affected communication practices of people? Discuss.

(15pts)

Globalization affects the communication by means of using technology. For

example when are using gadgets such as cellphone in the middle of conversation
with your family or even friends. so it can be a barrier that can lead to miss
interpretation or miss information to a sender and a receiver.another scenario is
sometimes when we are going to hang out with friends when others are using their
cellphones causing not to enjoy each other company, and a hindrance of
communication as well.

Through the use of technology such as gadgets people affect their

communication because based on my own experience people tend to use social
media as a medium of communication rather than face to face communication. They
are more confident on expressing their feelings on social medial rather than actual
communication. As a results of having a hard time communication in real time
conversation because we feel more comfortable on dealing things on social media
that’s why globalization affects communication.
11. How would you become cultural sensitive and gender sensitive in
communication? Describe some situation. (15 pts)

For me to become cultural sensitive is when people know a cultural

awareness and recognize the contrasts across cultures. Furthermore, being aware of
cultural differences allows a culturally competent individual to converse effectively
with others from different cultures. Some cultural sensitivity variations can be
detected while visiting outside of the country, for example, through cross-cultural
sensitivity encounters. Similarly, a culture has its own set of rules and beliefs about
how to dress and meet others so we must respect each other to become cultural
sensitive.

Another one to become a gender sensitive we must treat all the people
with equal respect, regardless of their sex, gender identity, marital status, sexual
orientation, or age. Being a gender sensitive includes in refraining from
discriminating against or stereotyping people’s based on the basis of their sex or
gender, treating all the people equally without judging a negative conclusion about
them based on their gender is a factor of being sensitivity. So we need to accept and
respect each other regardless of who they are.

12. Using a multimodal analysis, describe and explain the message the image
wants to convey. (20 pts.)
 Based on my observation on the picture the message in the image wants to
convey is that here in our generation freedom of speech is a big deal.the picture
shows that other people are invalidating others opinion because they believe that
they are the right one.as of today this topic is very timely cause as you know in the
past election and as of now theirs a lot of people are canceling each other culture
because of the reasons that they don’t have the same beliefs and perspective.

So lets not make it a big deal, I mean every one has the right to express
oneself and exchange information. Every one must have freedom so we must
respect every one.we must express our thought or expression without having fear
of cancel culture, without having fear of punishment or silence.so I believed that
every one in this world have the right to express their own feelings and emotion
without being invalidating by others. So me must accept each other opinions. Cause
I believed that we need each other so we need to respect each other thank you.
