3.0 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

4.0 INSTALLATION OF RZS OR RMS COUPLING HALVES
[NOTE:The RZS o: RMS half cousings ate preaseembied from the
factory and lacked in place bythe shipping sevows, seo general section
WARNING! I host is used at any time for instalation, DO NOT allow
‘the coupling temperature o excood 50°F (230°C). Use 9 temperature
sensing dovice to ensure that overheating does not oceur, NEVER
APPLY AN OPEN FLAMETOTHE DISC PACKS. An oll ath or ovon is

HYDRAULIC (KEYLESS) MOUNTING
Specific instructors for hyraule mounting of coupling hubs are given by
the manufacturers of the mounting equipment and connected equipment.

4.1. Check the hub bore ang shalt for nicks and burrs, ess f necessary

contact is required. Mate sure there are no O-rings or backup rings

necessary hydraulic mounting equipment.

the jacking screw holes located netween the spacer bot holes.

9.0 GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Kop-Flex High Performance ase couplings are designed to operate
{fo extonced peroas without the need for lubeation or msintonance
Visual inspection of the dae packs is suifciont to assess the onerstional
condition of the coupling
{All high speea mactinery shouldbe constenty mantored to detect
unususl a changing vibrtion levels. The Kop-Fex coupling, under normal
‘operation conctions, hes no wearing pats and will retain ts orginal
balance quality. Any change in vibration levels shoule be investigated and
remedial sction shoul be taken mmediately
