✓ How to log onto Dayforce
Company name: PP26455
Username: First Name.Last Name
Password: {By Default} (Last name)(Employee Number), must be changed after
first login.
✓ How to customize the Favorite Features on the Home Page
1. Click on the “Edit” just below the last feature.
2. A window will show up, drag the unwanted feature in the list of the favorites in the
features available below.
3. Drag the wanted feature into the favorite feature, click on Save.
✓ “Events”
1. Allow you to see any upcoming statutory holiday on Dayforce.
2. Allow you to see any upcoming approved Time Away from Work (e.g. Vacation).
3. Allow you to see any upcoming schedules.
✓ “Global Search”
1. Features → Search any feature on Dayforce by typing the name of the feature on
the search bar.
✓ “Help”
Is an option whereby any Dayforce user will have access such as Guided sessions or
even videos on how to use Dayforce as an employee.
Example :- How to request time away from work as an employee.
✓ Messages”
➔ How to compose a new message and to send it to another Dayforce user.
Options that are available into the Message Center: -
1) Inbox → All the messages that have been received; notifications will appear here.
2) Messages → All the messages will be listed.
3) Notification → If the admin approves a Time Away from Work, the employee will
receive the notification.
4) Drafts → Any unsent message will be listed.
5) Sent → All the sent message will be listed.
6) Trash → All deleted items will be listed here.
Now we are going to have a look on what has been discussed on the features that you have on
the Menu Bar.
✓ Home → To go back on the Home Page.
✓ Employee Timesheet → Allow the employee to view the start and end time they have
punch in/out. The employee will also see the days that they have been scheduled. This
is not apply for Office employees at this time.
✓ Work
➔ Calendar → You can have an overview on the calendar about the upcoming
statutory holidays, schedules and approved TAFW.
➔ Time Away List → To request a Time Away from Work that will be approved by the
Admin.
1) Click on the Menu bar as per the screenshot below :-
2) Select Work → Time Away List
3) Click on “Request New Time Off”
4) Another tab will pop up as per screenshot below :-
5) Enter the “Reason” e.g. vacation or unpaid leave, select the “Start & End” day.
Enter a comment and click on Submit. The request will then go to the manager
or to the admin for approval. You can view the balances as well below the
“Employee Comments”.
✓ Profile & Settings
→ Profile
You will be able to view your Contact Information such as Addresses, Contact
Information, Emergency Contacts.
You will be able to view your Work Information.
➔ Security
You can add more security to your Dayforce account by changing the password
and add security questions.
Click on Save.
