Description/Overview:
The Youversion Bible App is an application that can be downloaded
on Apple and Android Devices. This app assists Christian users in reading
and studying the Bible. The whole Bible at the palm of your hand, with the
ability to highlight and bookmark scriptures or chapters of the Bible. This
app also offers scriptural analysis via video format from various faith
leaders and fellow Christians. This app will help you discover the Bible in a
whole new light.
Installation Requirements:
This app is available on all Apple and Android Devices.
The latest version of iOS for Apple devices is recommended (iOS 14.6).
The latest version of OS for Android devices is recommended (Android
11).
You must have an active Email address to use this application.
You will also need to create a username and password.
Installation Procedures:
Apple Devices:
1. Access App Store on your Apple device.
2. Click on the search icon at the bottom right of screen.
3. Click in the search bar.
4. Type: Youversion Bible App.
5. Click the “Get” icon next to the Youversion Bible App.
6. You will be asked to verify your Apple ID.
7. The app will begin to download.
8. Once downloaded click on the Bible app Icon located on the home
screen of your Apple device.
9. You can now access the app by signing in via Facebook, Google,
Apple, or with an Email.
Android Devices:

App Experience
a. Home Icon:
The Home Icon is the first icon from the left, located at the bottom of
the App screen is where you can find your verse of the day, verse of
the day image, prayer, plans, and community features.
b. Read Icon:
The Read Icon is the second icon from the left, located at the bottom
of the App screen is where you will read the bible. You have several
different feature options under this icon which allows you to choose
from 2,429 different version of the Bible in 1,672 languages. You can
also opt to have the bible read to you in an audiobook format.
c. Plans Icon:
The Plans Icon is the third icon from the left, located at the bottom of
the screen, and it gives you the ability to start plans based on what
barriers you are trying to tackle in your spirituality. You can choose
topics such as anxiety, fear, worry, or prayer thought.
d. Discover Icon:
The Discover Icon is the fourth icon from the left located at the
bottom of the screen. This icon allows you to search for content such
as plans or clips of Christians breaking down chapters in the Bible.
There are also links to outside sources you can discover that allow
you to gain knowledge about chapters in the Bible.
e. More Icon:
The More Icon is the fifth icon from the left and is located at the
bottom of the screen. This is where you will find your friends and
notifications as well as your verse of the day, prayers, videos, and
events. You can also manage your highlights, bookmarks, and notes
in the section as well. The settings features are also located under
this icon and the ability to change the language of the app.
App Uses
There are many features of this App that can be used to help
Christians grow their spirituality. Using the Plans feature can help you
identify barriers that are holding you back from fully committing to God and
the Christian lifestyle. This App can send you reminders to keep you on
track for your study habits for Bible study classes. You can also use this app
for the purpose of sending you an uplifting Bible verse each day. This can
help you with forming a habit of having a daily devotional. This Christian
lifestyle app will develop your spirituality and help you along your spiritual
journey.
