Subject: Letter of Motivation for BSc in International Relations.
Dear Consular Office,
Greetings, my name is Bousmaha Alaa Eddine Mokhtar, and I am a 21-year old Algerian
student. This is a letter requesting a student visa for the purpose of pursuing my studies in
Poland. I received my baccalaureate diploma in 2021 with a grade point average of 10.60.
Having recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Economics and Enterprise
Management at the Faculty of Economics in Algeria . I am eager to continue my academic
journey at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in International Relations.
Since I am passionate about International Relations, I enthusiastically applied for the Bachelor
of Arts degree in International Relations as it represents a logical progression in my academic
career. As a result of this opportunity, I will be able to enhance and expand my knowledge of
this rapidly advancing field, in line with my personal and professional objectives. As a result
of choosing the program at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, I intend to enhance my
theoretical knowledge and benefit from their exceptional training.
A unique experience that I have recently had with the Algerian company ‘’ANGEM ’’,
the national micro-credit management agency, was a learning experience that I will use in
my career in the future.
Since I recently visited France, specifically Paris, I believe a trip to Poland would be an
excellent opportunity to experience a completely new culture. After my application process
began, my interest in studying in Poland has grown. After researching Poland, I was
convinced I must visit this beautiful country soon. The opportunity to travel abroad would
fulfill my dreams of staying in touch with what's happening around the world far from home.
As a student, Poland is extremely affordable, especially when it comes to food and
accommodation, in comparison to other European countries. I am looking forward to meeting
new people and forming new memories with people who can teach me new things such as a
new language that is not my native language, but which I'd like to learn. Visiting Poland and
getting to know its rich history and culture would be a great experience for me. As a result of
Poland's rich history and many historical landmarks that will help me learn more about Polish
culture and history, it has always attracted my attention before any other more popular
destinations. It has been fascinating to study the endurance Poland has shown throughout
history in the face of numerous challenges that shaped it into the country it is today. The 1939
invasion, the Polish-Soviet War, and the Third Partition of Poland are among many things I
intend to examine in greater detail. This research has been extremely useful for me in order to
gain a deeper understanding of the mindset of the people in these regions. My goal is not just
to explore Poland's history; I also want to understand its people and community, and to
experience its scenic, breath-taking landscape.
Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) was my first choice because of its academic
reputation and its commitment to providing high-quality education in a diverse and dynamic
environment. I am interested in studying at UMCS because of its innovative approach to
teaching and research, particularly in the areas that align with my academic and career goals.
My interest in the university lies in its emphasis on combining theoretical knowledge with
practical experience, as it will provide me with the skills and expertise I will need to achieve
success in my field of study. Additionally, UMCS offers a multicultural atmosphere that will
enhance my understanding of global perspectives by allowing me to interact with students
from different backgrounds. Moreover, the university's location in Lublin, a city with a rich
history and vibrant cultural life, makes it an ideal setting for both academic and personal
development.
This program aligns perfectly with my passion for the global stage. First semester Courses
like Introduction to International Relations and State, Law, and Politics will give me a solid
foundation in understanding how nations work together. Second semester, I'm most excited
about international political relations and international economics. Understanding global
politics and economics will help me make a meaningful impact on the world. Having the
opportunity to learn from experts and collaborate with classmates who share similar interests
excites me. This program feels like the perfect fit for my passion and my career goals.
With my bachelor's in Economics and Enterprise Management, I've gained a solid
understanding of how businesses work in different economic environments. As a result of this
experience, I'm interested in broader international dynamics. Through International Relations,
I'll be able to explore how global politics, trade, and diplomacy intersect with economics. It's
a natural extension of my previous studies, and I'm excited about the opportunity to learn
more about economic development and enterprise management at the global level.
Upon completing my bachelor's degree in International Relations in Poland, I plan to return
home to strengthen diplomatic relations and promote international cooperation. My goal is to
work with local government agencies or NGOs, leveraging the global perspective gained from
my studies. My education in Poland will enable me to make a meaningful impact in my
country's development. Getting back home will let me give back to the community that has
always supported me.
I would appreciate your consideration of my request. Upon request, I will provide any
additional documentation required to support my application.
Yours sincerely,
BOUSMAHA ALAA EDDINE MOKHTAR .
