INTRODUCTION:
I+-241G Color ribbon coder is a table type semi-automaticmachine with
motor and touching control by limit switch and with small volume, which can be
suitable for matching with the vertical filling packing machine and used for
printing the date of production and batch in the industries of food, beverage,
medicine etc. This machine adoptshot stampribbon insteadof liquid ink. It can
print clear words on any packing materials with the featuresof simple operation
and convenientmaintenance.

A. Ribbon TensionAdjustment (Adjustment is done in factory)
The minimum limit of the tensionis the ribbon won't be loose.Try to reduce
the tensionif possible.If the tensionis too low the ribbon rolling will run off the
tracking. The ribbon will be irregular and the ribbon will stick to the printed
materials.
B. Damping Force Adjustment (Adjustment is done in factory)
When the ribbon is installed in the reel, appropriatedamping force can keep
the ribbon moderately tight during the operating. Too loose reel will affect the
printing becauseof too much ribbon feed. Too tight reel will drag the ribbon and
may breakdownin severecases.
C. Ribbon setuP
pull out the ribbon feed wheel (7) with slight force, disassembleits nut,
external coil and ribbon paper core; replacewith new ribbon, setup external coil
and nut, then install the whole wheel back to the axle, and push it inside.

ribbonendon thepapercoreof ribboncollectwheel.Wheninstallation, pleasemakesurethat
makeribbon'sink sideagainstroller andaxlecenter.Furthermore, whenribboncrossbetween
the stepmovewheelandpresswheel,shouldmoveupwardthe handle(4) to makethe press
wheelslightlyoff the stepmovewheel.Release thehandleafterribboncross,andpresswheel
wouldautomatic reset.
D. Change of hot stamP ribbon width
Change the ribbon and adjust the two end-plate of ribbon roller, make the
distancebetweentwo platesis lmm wider than ribbon width'
E. Adjustment of connectionPole
Accordingto the thicknessof printedobjects,adjustlengthof connectionpole (10).
First releasetwo nut of connectionpole,becauseonethreadof pole is clockwise,another
is anticlochwise,sojust rotatebolt to adjustlengthof connectionpole. Correct length
of pole shouldguaranteethe type heightshouldbe 1.5-2mm lower thantop of printed
object,whenprint headis at the lowestposition.Pleasenotethatthe lengthof connection
pole would affectprint pressure.If pressureis too high, the ribbonmight breakor printed
materialsaredamaged; if pressureweretoo low, the printedcharacterswould be illegible.
So operatorshouldpay greatattentionto adjustmentof pole length
F. Adjustment of ribbon step distance
Each time the print head (26)reciprocate,the pull arm (18), swing arm of step-
move wheel (20) and one direction move devices will make the step-movewheel
(29) turn an angle,so drive ribbon move a distance,which is just calledstepdistance.
If stepdistanceis too big, ribbon will be consumedfast; stepdistanceis too small,
printing characterswill be illegible. The best stepdistanceshouldbe lmm longer
than height of characters.
