Vision
The Kingsville School of Liberal Arts envisions to be the cradle of advanced learning instruction, where
future leaders are developed today, and be the best private educational institution in the region.

Mission
The cardinal thrust of this institution is to cultivate, develop, and fortify the individual’s fullest potentials,
competencies, and skills through the 21st century teaching and learning interactive processes that will enable
students to self-actualize fear to God, determine role in the society, and unleash leadership potentials in the
local, national, and global organizations.

Institutional Outcomes
The Kingsville School of Liberal Arts Institutional Learning Outcomes (KSLA ILO) are the qualities that
Royals must possess. These outcomes are anchored on Christ-centered core values - 4 Cs of the institution.
Character, Competence, Commitment, and Consistency.
Anchored on these core values, the KSLA students are able to:
1. respond to the learning opportunities and experiences that will continuously enhance their physical,
mental, social, moral, and spiritual faculties;
2. develop social awareness, responsibility, and involvement not only in the school but also in the
community, thereby preparing them as future responsive and productive citizens;
3. develop skills and readiness in logical, rational, reflective, and creative thinking;
4. develop their potential, interests and capabilities relevant to their professional growth;
5. self-actualize their ultimate goal and the odd of the societies of which they are members;
6. awaken their leadership potential in the local, national, and even to the global scale; and
7. practice spiritual values and morally upright behavior to promote a dignified public image.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The degree program is called Bachelor of Arts in English Language. The program which aims to: provide
a comprehensive knowledge of the English language – its origin, growth and development, structures, and use;
to enhance the students’ competencies in the use of the English language in real-world contexts; and to present
appropriate strategies of language use through a heightened awareness of how English works in different
situations in the Philippines and in Asia and the rest of the world.
Graduates of this program may find employment in:
 academic and scholarly work such as teaching and research;
 business and industry jobs such as public relations, advertising and documentation; and
 media and publishing such as writing, translating and editing, and government and diplomatic
service.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

A graduate of BA English Language must be able to:


1. articulate a comprehensive and contextualized view of the English language system and development;
2. communicate in English (both oral and written) fluently, accurately, and creatively in diverse social,
cultural, academic, and professional settings;
3. speak fluently, accurately, and creatively in English;
4. read and explain various kinds of texts based on factual evidence;
5. write fluently, accurately and creatively in English;
6. facilitate English language learning in diverse social, cultural, academic, and professional settings;
7. teach English communication skills using knowledge of best practices;
8. participate effectively in oral communication situations where language systems (phonological,
morphological, syntactic, semantic) vary; and
9. produce well-written texts for various academic and professional purposes.
