DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

Mini Project
Third Semester, 2024-25 (Odd Semester)

Project Title: Integrated placement management system.

Project Statement: Managing placement processes manually can be inefficient and prone to errors.
The system should provide tools for posting jobs, managing applications, and
tracking candidates to ensure efficient placement management.
Project Objectives:  Develop robust tools for posting and managing job listings.
 Implement application tracking features for streamlined candidate
management.
 Provide analytics for reporting and analysing placement metrics
Scope Of The Project:  Student profiles and resume management
 Job posting and application tracking
 Interview scheduling and feedback
 Analytics and reporting on placement statistics
 Communication tools for announcements and notifications
Social Perspective:  Supports job seekers and professionals by providing effective resume
creation
and management tools.
 Facilitate the job search process for individuals
by providing them with professional-looking resumes that stand out.

interview scheduling.
 Analytics and reporting: Generates insights on placement trends and success
rates.
 Integration capabilities: Connects with existing university systems and
external job portals.
 Security measures: Ensures data privacy and controlled access to sensitive
information.
 This system aims to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance
the overall placement experience for all stakeholders involved,

Conclusion : Maximum work goes manually in the present placement system which makes it
take time to avail changes. This includes main problems like searching for the
data of students and sorting them along with it. Also, updating student data is a
cumbersome job and does not have a method to notify the student in time which
makes the management of the placements very difficult. In the proposed system,
many of these problems become automated. The registration of the student for an
upcoming placement, the addition of a new user, sharing resume and details etc.,
is all met. The placement officer validates the information and gives the student
list based on the criteria required which otherwise would have been very difficult
to manage

Proposed Methodology:  Requirements gathering: Collect needs from students, employers, and
placement officers.
 System design: Create a user-friendly interface and database structure.
 Development: Build key features like student profiles, job postings, and
application tracking.
 Testing: Ensure all components work correctly and securely.
 Implementation: Deploy the system and train users.
 Evaluation: Gather feedback and make improvements.
Software Tools: • GitHub, Git, Visual Studio Code, HTML, CSS, JAVA , Angular , React.js , etc
Expected Outcomes:  Efficient Hiring Processes: Streamlined posting, tracking, and reviewing of
job applications.
 Enhanced Candidate Experience: Improved application tracking and
communication.
 Data-Driven Placement Strategies: Informed decisions based on
comprehensive placement analytics.
