JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Security Officer


Reports to Security Supervisor
Job Grade
Location Lusaka
Job Purpose
Ensuring the safety and security of facilities, assets, and personnel. The Physical
Security Officer will patrol assigned areas, monitor security cameras, respond to
alarms, and enforce company security policies and procedures.

Key Result Areas

 Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and deter security risks,
including unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
 Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security
breaches and emergencies.

 Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, taking
appropriate action to resolve situations and mitigate risks.
 Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification, issuing
visitor badges, and escorting unauthorized individuals off the premises.
 Conduct security inspections and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure
compliance with security standards and regulations.
 Prepare detailed incident reports documenting security-related incidents,
investigations, and actions taken.
 Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant
agencies as needed to address security threats and emergencies.
 Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, serving as a
positive representative of the company.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 certificate

Security, Police or Military experience


Good report writing and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to
present complex information clearly and concisely.
