GREEN LOGS GUIDANCE (BUNKERING ACTVITY) NAVTOR-INDIA
Steps to follow to record Bunkering using “Bunkering FO”
activity.
1) Go to ORB Part 1>Bunkering
2) Select Bunkering FO
3) Select the Tank Subtype
Note: Do not select tank subtype if the grade you are filling into the bunker tank is
different. Selecting a subtype filters the number of tanks visible in the
source window. Tank Sub type selected does not show in the ORB entry.
4) Select Destination Tank(s)
5) Enter the Start/Stop Date & Time using spinner
6) Enter the Name of port
7) Enter the BDN quantity (In MT)
8) Enter Received quantity (In M3)
9) Enter the API Density @15 Deg (this is density in vacuum)
10) Enter the Observed temperature of the tank in deg C
Warning
ISO, Fuel Type, Grades and Sulphur percentage for Fuel Oil have to be as
per ISO Table configured for vessel. Choice of entries is restricted by drop
down.
11) Select the ISO from drop down
12) Select the Fuel Type using the dropdown option

13) Select the Grade using the dropdown option
14) Enter the Sulphur % (Values till 3 decimal places are valid)
15) Expand the Table to view and enter details in all the fields using pop out
button as shown below

16) Enter
a) Level, In/out in m3 and final ROB
b) Temperature
c) Check density at 15 deg C for each tank
Note: Enter volumes Bunkered to individual quantities in m3, software will
automatically convert the quantity to MT for ORB entry.
In case the sum of In/Out quantity and Received Quantity entered earlier
does not match the software will not accept the values and will show a
validation error for the same.
E.g. If the Received Quantity is 300.600 is equal to the In/Out Quantities of
individual Tanks e.g. 100.200 + 100.200 + 100.200 = 300.600 the entry can
be saved. If the sum does not match the Received Quantity software will
give validation and will not save the activity.

Note: Once all Validations are cleared the user can save the Bunkering Activity.
Syntax for the activity will be shown as below:
Example:
BDN Quantity is MT which is 200 MT
Received Quantity in M3 is 208 M3
Quantity loaded in HFO tk 1 is 25 M3
Quantity loaded in HFO tk 2 is 183 M3
Observed Temperature for FO is 20 C and Density is 0.967. [ you can also enter different
Temperatures and density for different Tanks if applicable]
Version No. 02 4 of 11
GREEN LOGS GUIDANCE (BUNKERING ACTVITY) NAVTOR-INDIA
Final ROB for HFO tk 1 will be Current ROB + Quantity Loaded i.e 0+25 = 25 M3
Final ROB for HFO tk 2 will be Current ROB + Quantity Loaded i.e 0+183 = 183 M3
Final Quantity is auto calculated by the software (in MT)
The syntax in ORB will be as follows:

Steps to follow to record Bunkering using
“Bunkering FO (B-A)” activity.
1) Go to ORB Part 1>Bunkering
2) Select Bunkering FO (B-A)
3) Select Destination Tank(s)
4) Enter the Start/Stop Date & Time using spinner
5) Enter the Name of port
6) Enter the BDN quantity (In MT)
7) Vessel can attach the BDN for the Bunkering to keep it on record.
If the Vessel is uploading any BDN receipt along with the activity, user is requested
to provide a short name in the text field provided for an easy reference.
From the Drop-down options select appropriate ISO, Fuel Type, and Grade

8) Enter Sulphur percentage for the Fuel Bunkered.
9) Expand the Table to view and enter details in all the fields using pop out
button as shown below
10) First in Before section, enter the details of the Tanks selected before
performing Bunkering activity.
11) Then go to After section and enter the details of the Tanks selected after
performing Bunkering activity

12) Now go to Difference section and verify if the values in Volume(m3), Mass
(MT) and Final ROBs for each Tanks are correct. User can modify the Final
ROB here if required.
13) Click on Save to record the entry
