Mazda on-board technology quick-start guide - 7th Generation.

Welcome to this quick-start guide which we have designed to help you get to grips with
the technological features fitted to your Mazda.

It’s been designed for owners of Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 models.

In this guide you will learn:

How to use Mazda Connect Navigation


a) Set a destination.

b) Add your home to your favourites.

c) Add current destination or local destinations to favourites.

How to use driver aids and adjust vehicle settings


a) Adjust your vehicle settings.

b) Set the cruise control and adjust radar.

How to use the Mazda Connect Multimedia system


a) Use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

b) Set your favourite radio stations.

c) Pair your Bluetooth device.

d) Make a call and using voice control.


How-to use Mazda Connect Navigation - Set a destination.
1. First, press the “Nav” button next to your multimedia commander – which you can also use to select “Navigation” from the home screen.

2. Once in “Navigation”, you can use the Multimedia Commander to explore the menu.

3a. Select “new destination”, and press it again to search.

3b. Enter the town, postcode, or street name of your desired destination.

4a. Once you’ve entered the required fields, scroll to the tick box icon.

4b. Press down once more, then select “NAVIGATE HERE”.

5. Your route will be calculated, and guidance will start automatically within ten seconds.

6a. To customise your route, use the Multimedia Commander to scroll to “ROUTE OPTIONS”.

6b. You’ll then have a list of options to choose from.

How-to use Mazda Connect Navigation - Add your home to your favourites.
1. Press “favourites” next to your multimedia commander.

2. Select “HOME – EMPTY” on the “favourites” screen.

3a. You’ll be asked if you want to enter an address.

3b. Press “ENTER” to confirm, and fill in your address and postcode details.

4a. Scroll to the tick icon and press it to confirm.

4b. Select your preferred location from the search results and “SAVE AS HOME”.

4c. Then, press “ADD TO FAVOURITES”.

4d. The system will confirm your destination has been set as home.
How-to use Mazda Connect Navigation - Add current or local destinations
to your favourites.
1. To add your current location as a favourite, select “NAVIGATION” from the main menu.

2. Press and hold the “favourites” button next to the Multimedia Commander.

[Link] system will confirm that your favourite has been added.

4. To set a different location other than your current position as a favourite, select “NAVIGATION” from the menu.

5a. Press the Multimedia Commander and select “Add Destination”.

5b. Press it again to search, and enter the town, postcode, or street name of your desired destination.

6a. Once you’ve entered the required fields, scroll to the tick box icon.

6b. Press down once more, then select “Add to Favourites”.


How to use driver aids and adjust vehicle settings - Adjust your vehicle settings.
1. Turn the multimedia commander and select “settings” from the home screen.

2a. If your Mazda is fitted with the Active Driving Display, you’ll be able to adjust height, brightness, and other general display settings from here.

2b. Simply scroll down through the choices for each menu item, and press once to confirm.

3. You can toggle through each menu item by turning and pressing the multimedia commander.

4a. If your Mazda is fitted with BOSE audio, you can access the system’s bespoke settings and configure them by opening “SOUND”.

4b. BOSE CenterPoint adds clarity and richness to your tracks.

4c. Whilst Audiopilot adjusts your speaker volume in line with your vehicle’s speed.

How to use driver aids and adjust vehicle settings - Set the cruise control and
adjust your radar.
1a. Press the cruise control button to activate.

1b. To use the speed limiter, press the “LIM” button.

2. Using the set plus and minus buttons, you can use the speed limiter to restrict your Mazda to a specific maximum speed.

3a. With cruise control selected, accelerate to your desired speed and press “SET” to activate the system.

3b. You can then speed up or slow down by pressing the “+” or “-“ buttons as required.

4. To cancel cruise control, press “CANCEL” or simply start braking.

4b. If you want to activate cruise control again and get back up to your set speed, simply press the button marked “RES” on your steering wheel to resume.

5. If your Mazda is fitted with Radar Cruise Control, press the “DISTANCE” button on the steering wheel to increase or decrease the amount of space
between your vehicle and the one in front.

6a. Mazda Radar Cruise Control will maintain the selected distance by speeding up or slowing down.

6b. But remember, keep your hands on the steering wheel and remain vigilant at all times whilst driving.
How to use the Mazda Connect Multimedia System - Use Apple CarPlay
or Android Auto.
1. First, ensure your IOS or Android device is unlocked.

2. Connect your IOS or Android device with an appropriate cable.

3a. Now press “Always Enable” to activate.

3b. You should then be automatically directed to the correct interface.

4a. If not, tilt the Multimedia Commander to the right on the home screen to access.

4b. To exit, just press and hold the home button.

How to use the Mazda Connect Multimedia System - Set your favourite radio station.
1. Select “ENTERTAINMENT” from the home screen.

2. Select your desired radio band – AM/FM/DAB from the entertainment menu.

3. You can then use the Multimedia Commander to access a list of tuning options.

4. Press and hold the “FAVOURITES” button next to the Multimedia Commander to save the radio station.

How to use the Mazda Connect Multimedia System - Pair your Bluetooth® device.
1. Turn on Bluetooth® on your phone or audio device and ensure it is visible to other devices.

2. Select “COMMUNICATION” from the home screen.

3. If there isn’t a phone currently connected to the system, it will automatically prompt to connect a device. Select “CONNECT”.

4. Ensure Bluetooth® is turned ON at the top of the menu.

5. Select the device you wish to pair.

6. If required, enter the pairing code shown on the vehicle display, or simply confirm the code by pressing either “YES” or “OK”.

7. Finally, press “YES” on the vehicle display to confirm, and you’ll be connected.
How to use the Mazda Connect Multimedia System - Make a call and use voice control.
[Link] make a call, select “COMMUNICATION” from the Mazda Connect main menu.

2. Scroll and select either favourites (if you have set these up), call history, or contacts.

3. Then simply select the name or number you wish to call.

4. Press the Multimedia Commander once to highlight the contact, then press it again to begin your call.

5. You can also use the call button on your steering wheel to access a contact from your call history.

6. To end the call, press “END CALL” or use the hang-up button on the steering wheel.

7. You can even make and end calls using voice commands – simply press the voice button and give a command, following the prompts given by the system.
