IV. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUSION
A) Based on the findings of the study, the following are
concluded:
1. The research concludes that HUMSS–SHS students have
satisfactory reading comprehension skills, that there are
internal and external factors affecting their satisfactory reading
comprehension performance, and that strategic directions to
improve performance via school-based intervention are given.
2. This study focused on the difficulties of SHS student's in
reading comprehension and the reading materials that they've
read. Then, from the calculation, it can be seen that the most
increase was in finding main idea aspect and the lowest
increase was inference. From the level of comprehension
result, it concludes that the highest increase was literal
comprehension and the lowest increase was critical
comprehension.
RECOMMENDATION
B) Based on the findings of the study, the following are
recommended:
1. Further studies on the performance on reading
comprehension of other levels
2. Study on the reading comprehension skills of marginalized
and disabled
