MATERIALS

Needles: One pair of needles 25 mm (US 50), one pair of needles 12 mm (US 17).

USED Yarn:

Name: Islanda

Colour: Light Beige

Type: Super Bulky yarn for Needles 10-12 mm (US 17)

Composition: 30% wool, 70% acrylic

Quantity:

For Size A: 8 balls each 100 g. (3.53 Oz) with the length of 47mt (51 yds).

For Size B: 16 balls each 100 g. (3.53 Oz) with the length of 47mt (51 yds).

For Size C: 28 balls each 100 g. (3.53 Oz) with the length of 47mt (51 yds).

AS YOU WILL NEED TO USE VERY THICK NEEDLES, YOU SHOULD KNIT 4 STRANDS OF YARN TOGETHER!

* You can use the yarn of other producers with the same characteristics.

**In case of thicker yarn the number of strands will be less.

GUAGE: 4 stitches and 5 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in knit

USED SYMBOLS:

RS – Right side

WS – Wrong side

K – Knit stitch

P – Purl stitch

Size A:

Patten use garter stitch – all k in all rows. To shape the top of the pouf we will need to use two types of
needles (12 mm and 25 mm).

Cast on 18 loops on needles 25 mm. (VIDEO 1)

Row 1 (RS): k7 by needle 12, k11 by needle 25

Row 2 (WS): k11 by needle 25. K4 by needle 12

Row 3 (RS): k4 by needle 12, k11 by needle 25

Row 4 (WS): k11 by needle 25. K1 by needle 12

Row 5 (RS): k1 by needle 12, k11 by needle 25

Row 6 (WS): k11 by needle 25, k7 by needle 12

Repeat rows 1-6 9 more times. You should get totally 60 rows.

Cast off by knit stitch. The part of 12 mm needles cast off by 12 mm needles and the part of 25 mm needles
cast off by 25 mm needles. Finished cast off leave the yarn tail about 1 m to make the join seam.

Turn your knitting cover to the wrong side and start to close the top hole. For this take two pieces of yarn
strands and path through the stitches on the top as shown on the photo below.

Close the hole by the knot

Prepare inside bag

For Inside bag cut fabric 1,5m x 0.8m.

Gather the bottom of inside bag using the piece of fabric

Turn it to the right side and stuff by Styrofoam pearls. You will need about 35 litres.

Put stuffed inside bag into your pouf. Take 2 strands of yarn and path through the stitches on the bottom as
shown below

Close the bottom of your pouf

Hide yarn tail inside

Adjust the top of your pouf. For this take the yarn and path through the stitches on the top as shown below

Close the top by knot and hide the yarn tail inside

Size B:

Patten use garter stitch – all k in all rows. To shape the top of the pouf we will need to use two types of
needles (12 mm and 25 mm).

Cast on 23 loops on needles 25 mm.

Row 1 (RS): k7 by needle 12, k16 by needle 25

Row 2 (WS): k16 by needle 25. K4 by needle 12

Row 3 (RS): k4 by needle 12, k16 by needle 25

Row 4 (WS): k16 by needle 25. K1 by needle 12

Row 5 (RS): k1 by needle 12, k16 by needle 25

Row 6 (WS): k16 by needle 25, k7 by needle 12

Repeat rows 1-6 13 more times. You should get totally 84 rows.

Cast off by knit stitch. The part of 12 mm needles cast off by 12 mm needles and the part of 25 mm needles
cast off by 25 mm needles. Finished cast off leave the yarn tail about 1,5 m to make the join seam.

For seaming, top and bottom closer follow the instructions of the size A.

For inside bag cut the fabric 210 cm x 120 cm (83” x 47”).

For stuffing you will need about 90 liters of Styrofoam Pearls.

Size C:

Patten use garter stitch – all k in all rows. To shape the top of the pouf we will need to use two types of
needles (12 mm and 25 mm).

Cast on 31 loops on needles 25 mm.

Row 1 (RS): k7 by needle 12, k24 by needle 25

Row 2 (WS): k24 by needle 25. K4 by needle 12

Row 3 (RS): k4 by needle 12, k24 by needle 25

Row 4 (WS): k24 by needle 25. K1 by needle 12

Row 5 (RS): k1 by needle 12, k24 by needle 25

Row 6 (WS): k24 by needle 25, k7 by needle 12

Repeat rows 1-6 17 more times. You should get totally 108 rows.

Cast off by knit stitch. The part of 12 mm needles cast off by 12 mm needles and the part of 25 mm needles
cast off by 25 mm needles. Finished cast off leave the yarn tail about 2 m to make the join seam.

For seaming, top and bottom closer follow the instructions of the size A.

For inside bag cut the fabric 260 cm x 150 cm (102” x 59”).

For stuffing you will need about 200 liters of Styrofoam Pearls.
