How to Create a Database in Notion

Log in to Notion. Click the + sign
on the left navigation to add a new
page.

Give the new page a title. Then,
select Table...

and click New database.

To change the header, click on the
first row and type the new header
name. In this case, you can type
"Tasks".

Click the Tags header and select
Edit property...

Then, click Type and change to
Select.

Click Add an option. Enter the
options you want to use. To make
things simple, use To Do, Doing,
Done, and Blocked.

Now it's time to change the color
of each item to make them easy to
identify. Click the arrow opposite
each label and select the
colors you want to use.

Click the + sign on the table to add
a new column for the due date.

Enter the name of your tasks
here. You can add more rows by
clicking + New at the bottom of
column 1.

Now, select the corresponding
tag for each task. You can add
dates to the next column by
clicking the empty cells under
Due Date.

Click the + sign to add a new
view and select Board.

Select Board.

Click Done. You now have a
Kanban board view for your
tasks. Simply drag and drop
each card into the appropriate
column to update its status.

Click the three-dot menu. Select
Copy link to view. Now you can
share the link to the database
with your trainer.
