CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of basic taxonomic concepts and
principles, description, nomenclature, identification and classification.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners shall be able to differentiate the 5 – Kingdom Scheme of
classification of living things.

Date: March 11, 2019

I. LEARNING COMPETENCIES

The learners should be able to to:

 STEM_BIO11/12IIIh – j15 –Identify the unique/ distinctive characteristics
of a specific taxon relative to other taxa.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:

Good Morning Ma’am Rouse Leanne!
Good Morning class! Good morning classmates. God Bless you!

Classroom Management

Before you take your seats, kindly

arrange your chairs carefully and
check if there are pieces of paper.

Checking of Attendance
Ma’am, I’m glad to tell you that no one of

absent today?

Thank you Ms. Secretary, I’m also

glad that all of you are present
today.

Review

Class, before we proceed to our

new lesson, let us have first our
review regarding our previous
lesson. I prepared a game.
I will flash a horizontal puzzle that
you need to answer.

Each group will have a

representative that means for every
flash of boxes there is a different
members that represents their
group.

The first group to get 5 points will

win in this game and will receive a
bonus points for the next activity.
Yes, we did ma’am!
Did you understand, Class?

That’s good!

Go now to your respective groups

and let’s start!

chromosomal sex of an
individual.

absence of a protein necessary
for blood to clot.

- Presence of web – like W E B B E D T O E S

connections between 2nd and 3rd
toes.

CNS characterized by the lack
of dopamine in the brain.

appearance of an individual as P H E N O T Y P E

Group 5 got the perfect score! 5

claps for them.

Alright, I’m glad that all of you

understand our previous lesson.

B.DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

Motivation

As you can see, there are pictures

spread out everywhere. Your task is
to describe the characteristics that
will assign to your group.

I will give you a Characteristic Chart

and a Highlighter and all you have
to do is to highlight the properties of
the kingdom.

You have 5 minutes to finish your
activity and 2 minutes for your
presentation.

Are you ready class? Yes, ma’am!

Let’s begin
