(Modified) Belbin Questionnaire
For each of the seven questions that follow, distribute a total of 11 points among the 9 choices given to you.
Take question I as an example. If you believe your principle contributions to a team are addressed by two of the
options, you should distribute the 11 points to those two items only. You could give 5 and 6 points, 8 and 3
points or whatever combination reflects your relative strength in those two areas. If you think you regularly
contribute in 5 relatively equal ways, you might give 2 points each for 4 items, and 3 for the somewhat more
dominant 5th option.
For the questionnaire to be effective you must be honest with yourself as you complete it. In other words, do not
answer based on what you feel is “good” or the “right thing” but rather based on what you actually do or feel.
You also should answer in the present in relation to the work or other setting that you are in right now for which
you are assessing your group roles. There is no such thing as a wrong answer in this questionnaire.
I. WHAT I BELIEVE I CAN CONTRIBUTE TO A TEAM Score
a) I think I can quickly see and take advantage of new opportunities.
b) I can work well with a very wide range of people.
c) I can produce ideas with ease. Producing ideas is one of my natural assets.
d) I am able to draw people out whenever I see they have something to contribute to the group.

II. IF I HAVE A WEAKNESS IN TEAM WORK, IT WOULD BE THAT
