Dear Mr.

Jiang,

I am writing to you today concerning the matter of student volunteers spending time out of school
holidays to make a difference. As the chairperson of class, I can assure u that this a great opportunity
for young students to make a difference in the lives of migrant workers.

Me and my class students would very much like to assist in organizing excursions and outings for
workers. It will give students a chance to research and find out about different places in Singapore. It
will also help increase knowledge of local culture and living environment for the migrant workers.

The students may find it more feasible to volunteer on weekends as it is easier for students to come
out of their busy schedule and a more flexible timing might be 8 Am to 5pm as it is when most
attractions are best to see.

The students keen to volunteer and me will meet up to discuss and analyze what attractions would
be the best to visit. An example would be fort caning – it is the best to visit in a sunny weather. The
weather forecast would be taken care of. Our students will ensure that the outing is well planned and
all steps are in place. Me and the students had a few questions – Is our food taken care of? Are our
travel expenses taken care of by the company? Its all that we had doubts we had.
