The way we enjoy music has totally changed because of social media apps like

TikTok and Instagram. These apps really influence the kind of music people like. It's
pretty cool that, because of the internet, someone who really loves classical music
can also discover and start to like newer types of music, like pop, punk, and rap. At
the same time, a young person can find and enjoy old classic songs. This means that
things like culture, language, age, and race don't stop people from liking different
kinds of music. No type of music is just for one group of people.

To see if what I thought was true, I did a survey about what kind of music people are
into these days. Most people said that social media really affects the music they like. I
felt a bit down to see that a lot of people like pop music the most. In my opinion,
pop music has been a bit repetitive and not very original in the last ten years,
especially with things like autotune getting more and more advanced. But, I was
happy to see that more young people are starting to enjoy music from their own
regions, which is really great.

The way we listen to and discover music has been reshaped by social media.
Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are not just about sharing pictures and videos;
they've become powerful forces in shaping our musical tastes. It's fascinating to think
that, because of the internet, someone deeply immersed in classical music can easily
explore and appreciate newer genres like pop, punk, and rap. Simultaneously, a
teenager can delve into the world of timeless classics. The internet erases the usual
barriers like culture, language, age, and race when it comes to music. Every type of
music is accessible to everyone.

To dig deeper into this idea, I conducted a survey to find out what people are
listening to these days. The results confirmed what I suspected – social media has a
big impact on people's musical choices. However, I was a bit disheartened to find
that pop music dominated the preferences by a significant margin. I believe pop
music has become somewhat repetitive and lacking in originality in the past decade,
especially with the increasing use of technologies like autotune. On a positive note, I
was thrilled to see a growing number of young people expressing interest in and
actively enjoying music from their own regions.

As we navigate the digital age, the relationship between social media and music
continues to evolve. This dynamic interaction poses both challenges and
opportunities for the music industry. While concerns persist about the sameness of
popular music, the rise of niche genres and the renewed interest in regional music
indicate a more diverse musical landscape. The ongoing conversation between
technology, social media, and musical expression promises to shape the future of the
industry in ways that are both unpredictable and exciting. The evolving nature of this
relationship invites exploration and adaptation, and it's clear that the impact of social
media on our musical preferences is a story still unfolding.
The way we enjoy music has changed a lot because of social media apps
like Snapchat and Twitter. These apps really influence the music people like.
It's interesting that, because of the internet, someone who really likes
country music can also discover and start to like newer types of music, like
EDM or indie rock. At the same time, a young person can find and enjoy old
classic songs from the '80s. This means that things like culture, language,
age, and race don't stop people from liking different kinds of music. No
type of music is just for one group of people.

To check if what I thought was true, I did a survey about what kind of music
people are into these days. Most people said that social media really affects
the music they like. I felt a bit down to see that EDM was the most liked
genre by a lot. In my opinion, EDM has become a bit repetitive, especially
with new technologies like synthesizers. But, I was happy to see that more
young people are starting to enjoy traditional folk music from their own
cultures, which is really great.

To learn more about this, I did a survey about what kind of music people

what music people like. It was a bit sad to see that EDM was the most liked
