REPORT SUMMARY
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY
The clean-up drive was conducted as regular barangay activity as mandated under Section 16 of the
Local Government Code as in compliance with DILG MC 2023-133 and DILG MC 2024-059 which
mandates the convergence of efforts towards the achievement of Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa
Malinis na Bayan.

II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY

II ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED

Activities for the week were:


1. Daily Clean Up of Barangay Facilities (barangay hall, covered court and health station)
2. Collection of plastic waste along the National road and areas near the cemetery
3. Disposal of segregated garbage to proper disposal area

III EXPECTED OUTPUTS


The upshots of the activity were:
1. Sacks of garbage and clean barangay
IV HIGHLIGHTS OF DAILY ACTIVITIES

The Punong Barangay briefed the participants on the KALINISAN PROGRAM. The
participants agreed as to the priority area for the week. Tasking was made such who are the
persons responsible during the clean-up such as disposal of bio- degradable and non-biodegradable
waste including the maintenance of existing barangay facilities. The barangay provided materials
such as shovel, empty sacks and broom while bolo or anything that could be utilized for removal of
weeds were self-provision.

KALINISAN started 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon with 43 participants deployed in areas
assigned for the day . Collected wastes: Two ( 2 ) sacks of plastic bottles, one (1) sack of glass
bottles and three ( 3) biodegradable waste – dried leaves and weeds

V REQUESTED ACTIONS :

Conduct of information campaign on segregation and proper waste disposal by all


households.

VI PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND SOLUTIONS

Canals are clogged with plastic waste due to irresponsible waste disposal by the public.
