Motivation
A. Fix me I’m Broken
: Before we proceed to our lesson proper let us first have
an activity, it is called “fixed me I’m broken”, are you
excited with this game? Before anything else group
yourselves by five counts 1, 2,3,4,5.
Presentation
: Everybody settle down, thank you for your participation
and I think some of you are enjoyed. Today, we will discuss
about lesson planning. At the end of our discussion, you are
expected to:
o Identify the main elements in planning
o Demonstrate efficiency in making lesson plan;
o Write a lesson plan for specific topic in English
Language Teaching.
: A lesson plan is a teacher’s daily guide for what students
need to learn. How it will be taught, and how learning will
be measured. There are four main elements of planning
these are:
1. ACTIVITIES- When planning, it is vital to consider
what students will be doing in the classroom.
2. SKILLS- We needs to make a decision about which
language skills we wish our students to develop.
3. LANGUAGE- We need to decide what language to
introduce and have the students learns.
4. CONTENT- Lesson planners have to select content
which has a good chance of provoking interest and
involvement.
