Computer Networks
Final Project
A network proposal has to be developed for faculty of computers and
artificial intelligence (FCAI). The FCAI has 2 floors, floor1, floor2, we use
three-tier design or hierarchical network design to connect 2 floors, at the
floor1, there Lab3, TC (Training Center), Each of them has 30 computers
connected on 2 access layer switch as follows: L3(1), L3(30), TC1, TC30,
where Lab3 on VLAN 10, TC on VLAN 20.
at the floor2, there Lab1, Lab2, each of them has 30 computers connected
on 2 access layer switch as follows: L1(1), L1(30), lab2(1), Lab2(30), where
Lab1 on VLAN 30, Lab2 on VLAN 40.
FCAI Branch are connected with the head quarter (HQ).
The HQ has 2 building, projects building that designed using two-tier
design, where the project building has 2 departments, IT, HR, each of
them has 2 computers connected on 1 access layer switch as follows:IT1,
IT2, HR1, HR2, where IT on VLAN 50, HR on VLAN 60.
Head quarter building that uses access layer switch connected directly to
HQ Router, there two computers (project Manager, Team Leader),
where project Manager on VLAN 70, Team Leader on VLAN 80.
Hints: Head quarter building configuration to enable interval routing
1. VLAN70, VLAN80 inter-vlan routing between them are configured on the router
by using sub interface
2. Link between switch and router should be trunk link
3. Enable dot1q protocol on router
Network requirement
1. Consider network 192.168.1.0/29. apply the following on the
Network.
2. Determine a subnet for each VLAN by Using FLSM.
3. floor 1 and floor 2 assigned automatic IPs from the DHCP server.
4. Projects Building and project manager, Team leader assigned
automatic IPs from HQ Router which works as DHCP server.
5. Enable DNS server to resolve names to IP on the network.
6. Enable EIGRP routing in the whole network
