ABSTRACT
The primary objective of our website Mediconnect is to provide comprehensive and
accurate information about our products, including detailed descriptions, usage guidelines,
benefits and side effects. Our website is dedicated to providing unparalleled access to our
wide range of high-quality pharmaceutical products. Our platform facilitates seamless
product purchases, efficient management of sales operations, and the generation of detailed
sales reports. Our website serves as a pivotal digital platform designed to streamline
operations and enhance user interaction across multiple modules
The website is designed to serve various stakeholders through five distinct modules: Admin,
Production Manager, Sales Manager, User, and Guest. Each module has specific objectives
tailored to meet the needs of its users.
For the admin section, the application provides a comprehensive dashboard that offers an
overview of all activities. Admins can facilitate the registration and management of
production and sales managers, ensuring they have the appropriate access and permissions.
Additionally admins can add and manage product categories, update product details, and
maintain an accurate and comprehensive product database. The admin also verify new users
to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and maintain the integrity and security of the
platform.
In the production manager section stocks are updated regularly to reflect current inventory,
monitor and manage expired products and items that are out of stock. Production manager
can also access and review orders placed by the sales department to coordinate production
and ensure timely fulfillment. Additionally production manager verify that the inventory has
the necessary stock to fulfill specific orders and communicate this status to the sales
department and notify relevant departments upon the successful completion of orders,
facilitating efficient communication and delivery processes.
Sales managers can review and verify orders placed by users to ensure accuracy and
completeness before processing. They also forward verified orders to the Production
Manager for fulfilment, providing necessary details and specifications. Its their duty to
manage and coordinate the delivery of orders to customers, ensuring timely and efficient
shipment or distribution. They are also required to maintain communication with customers
regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any inquiries or issues that may arise.
Additionally they can generate and analyse sales reports to track performance metrics,
identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize sales strategies.
Users(customers) can easily search for products by name, category, or other relevant criteria
to find specific pharmaceutical items and create orders by selecting desired products and
specifying quantities. Built-in payment provides a streamlined and secure way to handle
financial transactions. Users can track the status of their orders in real-time, from placement
through processing and delivery, ensuring transparency and timely updates. Users have also
access to a history of their past orders, enabling them to review and analyse previous
purchases for reordering or reference purposes.
Guests initiate the registration process by providing basic information such as name, email
address, and possibly additional contact details. Upon successful verification by the admin,
the guest's account is activated, granting them full access to the functionalities available to
registered users.
By integrating modern technologies such as PHP for server-side scripting, HTML/CSS for web
page structure and design, JavaScript for interactive features, and MySql for database
management, the Mediconnect web application provides a seamless and efficient
experience for managing the operations of a pharmaceutical company.
