2 BASIS DESIGN
a. Consumption rate for instrument air are based on all Control Valve users operating simultaneously and to accommodate future
expansion capacity 5.0 MMSCFD.
b. Required for Control Valve = 1 scfm (steady state condition)
c. Required for On/Off Valve
for <2" = 1 scfm (transient condition)
for 2" - 6" = 2.5 scfm (transient condition)
for 8" - 12" = 6.9 scfm (transient condition)
for >12" = 14 scfm (transient condition)
d. Instrument air dryer regeneration allowance = 18 %
e. Air Receiver sizing based on 15 minutes between storage pressure and demand pressure.
f. Air consumption for On/Off Valve at peak condition is 30%..
3 CALCULATION METHOD
a. Instrument Air Demand based on valve consumption + air regeneration consumption + 10% margin.
b. Compressor Capacity is based on Instrument Air Demand.
