I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of organisms as having feedback
mechanisms which are coordinated by the nervous and endocrine systems.
B. Performance •
Standards Identify the functions of the nervous system.

C. Learning Describe how the nervous system coordinates and regulates these feedback
Competencies/ mechanisms to maintain homeostasis. (S10LTIIIc-36)
Objectives
(Write the LC code 1. Cite the functions of the nervous system.
for each) 2. Give actions that the nervous system can control and identify the function
associated to each.
3. Describe the functions of the five senses.

lesson. (PNS).
B. Establishing a Present a picture of an athlete who is running. Ask the learners how the athlete
purpose for the coordinates its body movements through the help of the nervous system. Ask them
lesson also if the movements being done by the athlete is a voluntary and involuntary
movement.

C. Presenting Present the following pictures to the learners:

examples/instances 1. An angry person whose heart automatically beats faster.

3. A mother who is planning her daughter’s birthday party.

Explain how the nervous system affects the given scenarios in terms of emotion,
memory, and decision making.
