JUSTIFICATION
III. JUSTIFICATION

This Reading Plan of the Integrated Educational Institution No 34010 “Daniel Alcides
Carrión”, has been prepared based on a diagnosis applied to the students, resulting in
a lack of reading habits, a lack of reading comprehension ability and a lack of interest
in reading in most students.

Through strategic planning in the Educational Institution, the habit of reading will be
motivated and encouraged among all members of the Educational community of the
various classes and population in general. Likewise, students will be taught
Techniques, Reading Strategies and Study Methods; that will facilitate the learning of
the various areas of the current curriculum, as well as discover the importance of
reading, until the habit becomes pleasure.

IV. PURPOSE:
Encourage, create, promote and strengthen the habit of reading in each of the
students, thus generating an entrepreneurial spirit for research.

Establish the general guidelines that allow the regulation of basic strategies and
guidelines for the implementation and execution of the Reading Plan in the
Educational Institution.

V. GOALS:
1. GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
 Promote the execution of actions to develop the ability to read and generate
pleasure in reading, as one of the essential capacities that contribute to the
comprehensive training of children, adolescents and young people on a personal,
professional and human level.

2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
 Get the reading habit from the enjoyment of reading.
 Improve the development of skills, incorporating strategies, methods and levels
of reading comprehension.
 Promote the reading of texts from local, regional, national and universal
literature related to its history, culture, values and environmental issues. Promoting
the use of the classroom library and the Educational Institution.
 Enable understanding, reflection, expression and creativity.
 Know the characteristics of different types of texts, recognize them and create
them.
 Use reading transversally to support other subjects.

VII. RESPONSIBLE:
The teachers in the communication area, together with the Director, will form the
Reading Plan Committee, who will be responsible for selecting together with the

Reading will take place at least twice a week at 7:15 am to 7:30 a.m.; The teachers
