Where We Are Now
Our Strengths
● Our school is affiliated with the Hong Kong Baptist University, one of the most reputable
universities in the region.
● Our school takes full advantage of the benefits of a DSS school which enable us to exercise
greater flexibility in management, deployment of resources, medium of instruction,
curriculum development and student admission, etc.
● Members of the School Management Committee and the senior management team have high
caliber and rich experience in leading a through-train school.
● Our teachers are energetic, adaptable, proficient in using IT and committed to providing
whole-person education, with comprehensive support from professional and administrative
staff.
● A professional development culture is well established, with a variety of local and overseas
programmes regularly organized to enhance teachers’ professional knowledge, skills,
horizons and ethics.
● Our three-tier curriculum framework (Junior School, Middle School and High School)
supports students’ smooth transition across different learning stages.
● Local and international curricula are provided to suit students’ diverse learning needs and
study paths.
● Ample opportunities are offered to maximize students’ potential in various aspects, develop
their leadership qualities and widen their global perspective.
● Our students are generally confident and fluent in both English and Chinese. They actively
participate in a wide range of internal and external activities, and have outstanding
performance in competitions.
● Our campus is well equipped with IT, sports and aesthetic facilities, and provides a
comfortable learning environment.
Our Weaknesses
● Teachers’ turnover has led to greater need for coaching and team building.
● Diversity of students’ needs and abilities remains a challenge for teachers.
Our Opportunities
● The growing number of graduates in different areas of expertise will bring in more resources
and contributions.
● Our expanding partnership with other educational institutions such as overseas universities
and the HK Academy for Gifted Education will create a wider range of learning
opportunities for our students.
● The optimization of the HKDSE core subjects will release space to cater for students’ diverse
learning and development needs.
3
Our Threats
● Students’ dropout rate has been less stable as more parents consider sending their children to
study overseas.
● The 15% quota on student intake from the Shatin district limits the flexibility of our
admissions.
● The epidemic has brought us challenges in sustaining students’ learning motivation,
resilience and commitment to the school.
