LESSON FRAMEWORK
Starter : RESOURCES
Teacher conducts a recap session with pupils about colours. Pupils say out the colours they can remember
and spell the words. Textbook and Workbook
Main Activities :
CCE: LANGUAGE
1. Teacher explains that out of all the colours, there are three main (primary) and asks pupils to
guess the three colours based on the colours written on the board.
2. Teacher asks pupils to share with their partners what they think will happen when primary
colours are mixed. Pupils are also guided to share the colours.
3. Pupils watch a video. Teacher asks pupils to read textbook page 18 Activity 1 (a) and (b).
Pupils look around the class for classroom objects.
4. Pupils complete the ‘Colour Wheel’ worksheet (M). Pupils are guided by peers to complete the
worksheet (L).
Plenary :
Pupils put up their ‘’Colour Wheels’ on the wall for display.

Teacher writes certain colours from the previous lesson with blanks (Ex: g _ _ e n). Pupils guess the
answers. Teacher underlines red, blue and yellow and asks pupils why are the colours called. Textbook and Workbook
Main Activities :
CCE: LANGUAGE
1. Pupils refer textbook page 19. Pupils read the instructions (M). Pupils are guided to read the
instruction by their partners (L).
2. Teacher displays page 19 Activity 1 on the screen and asks pupils to draw arrows based on the
colours mentioned y the teacher. Their partners can guide them.
3. Pupils come to the front draw the arrows.
4. Teacher asks pupils what will happen if the colours are mixed with white.
5. Pupils discuss with their partners and share their answers.
6. Pupils use the exercise books to draw any picture and use all the colours that they have learnt.

Teacher conducts a recap of vocabulary related to classroom objects and colours.
Textbook and Workbook
Main Activities :
CCE: LANGUAGE
1. Pupils are asked to line up in 5-6 separate lines. Teacher draws 5-6 columns on the board
depending where pupils are standing in lines.
2. Teacher places 5-6 card decks in front of the first person standing in the line. The cards consist
of words to phrases using classroom objects and colours.
3. Pupils are explained that the first pupil reads a card individually and places that card below the
deck. Then, the pupil turns to the friend and whispers the word/phrase (Chinese Whisper). The
last pupil to listen writes the word/phrase in the column and go to the front of the line. The
process is repeated until the first person who started writes the last on the board.
4. Teacher checks the words/phrases’ spelling, give points to the correct answers and tell the
correct answer.
Plenary :
Pupils spell the words that teacher says.

4. Pupils are briefed about the activity. In their groups, pupils ask each friend for different things.
