ALCOMER® 110RD

SHALE CONTROL INHIBITOR

ALCOMER® 110RD is a high molecular weight, anionic, water-soluble, acrylamide-based co-polymer,


specially processed to achieve excellent dispersibility. This special process allows particles to wet
separately and dissolution can proceed rapidly without the formation of lumps or “fish eyes”. ALCOMER
110RD® has been developed to give enhanced performance in conventional clear water or low-solids
drilling while maintaining performance in KCl polymer and higher salt systems. The product is supplied
as a free-flowing powder.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

• Very dispersible to the point that it mixes like a liquid.


• More cost effective than any liquid product, being a free-flowing powder.
• Reduces the occurrences of lumps or “fish eyes” so less polymer is wasted.
• Has no carrier oil so no sheen left when discharged.
• Does not phase-separate or settle out like liquids.
• Very versatile and fulfils many functions to improve drilling operations in simple systems at
minimal cost.
• Can be used in oil, gas, water and mineral drilling.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT:

For clay stabilization, add at 0.5-3.0 kg/m³


For viscosity in clear, low solids, low salt fluids, add at 0.5-3.0 kg/m³
For solids settling, add 1 viscosity cup to ~200L of fresh water in chemical barrel
and trickle in.
