• Document title (e.g., project name) and client / department name
Cover page • Date, set to meeting date or date of creation
• Document authors (name of team members)

• Executive summary included


Document structure • Table of contents included
• Document follows top-down structure (pyramid principle)

• Action titles match content of slides (stating the “so what”)


Action titles • No action title longer than 2 lines
• Numbers in action titles match slide contents

• Footnote consistency (e.g., no mix of ex1, ex1), exi, exa))


• All footnotes correctly placed and explained in the footer
Slide footer
• Source information added to all slides with data
• Page numbers and date (set to meeting date or current date) on all slides

• No slide objects out of bounds (slide boundaries to the left and to the right)
• Consistency of recurring elements (e.g., bullet point color, indentation and form)
Formatting and alignment • Alignment and no jittering (small “jumps” in positioning of recurring elements from slide to slide, e.g., action titles)
• Consistent use of capitalization (e.g., title case for action titles)
• Consistent punctuation format for numbers (e.g., 1.412,84 EUR vs. 1,412.84 EUR)

• No wrong company name (if presentation copied from previous document)


Checks with “Ctrl + F” • No double spaces
• Unit of measurement consistency (e.g., 100€, €100, 100 EUR)

• Name of PPT and PDF file (e.g., no “Copy of…”)


Miscellaneous • Spell check to spot spelling mistakes
• No misleading alt-text in images
