1. Magic ring
At the beginning of some parts a magic ring is needed. To make this ring, first make 3 ch. In the first ch
crochet a sl st. So, a small ring is created. The rest of the work starts from this ring. Crochet the first
round in the centre of the ring. How many stitches are crocheted depends on the corresponding
instruction. In the picture 6sc were crocheted into the magic ring.

Introduction

2. Filling stitch
If you always crochet only the stitches that are assigned to a round, you will quickly notice that the
beginning of each round moves further and further to the right. This happens because the stitches are
never on top of each other, but slightly offset (see photo).

To bring the different parts symmetrically, and the corresponding accents in the right place, filling
stitches are needed. In the pattern, to keep a straight line, 1 additional stitch is needed per 3 rounds.
When you need such filling stitches is precisely indicated in these instructions and is written in bold
after the corresponding rounds.

Introduction

3. Puff stitch
Puff stitch is mainly needed on feet or arms, which is used for small toes or fingers. For a puff stitch, 3
"unfinished double crochets" are crocheted into one stitch, but they are not finished. For an "unfinished
double crochet" the thread is wrapped once around the needle, it is poked into the stitch and the thread
is pulled through. Now there should be 3 loops on the needle. The thread is grabbed with the needle
and pulled through only the first two loops. Now there should be 2 loops left on the needle and the next
two "unfinished double crochets" are crocheted into the stitch, so that after the third there are 4 loops
on the needle. To finish the puff stitch, the thread is grabbed with the needle and pulled through all 4
loops.

4. Colour change
For some parts colour changes are needed. This will be explained in more detail for a sc. To change the
yarn, first start the sc with colour 1. To do this, pierce the sc and pull the yarn through the stitch. Now
the yarn of colour 2 is picked up with the needle and pulled through both loops. After a few more
stitches have been crocheted, the two threads can be tied together at the back with a double knot.

5. The end of a part

Especially for pieces that are crocheted in rounds, it makes sense to use a smaller crochet hook for the
last 2 rounds. This will make the stitches a little smaller and prevents large holes from appearing in the
pattern at the end.

To finish a piece that still has an opening, I always put an additional chain stitch in the stitch after the
last stitch. This way there is no gap, and the stitch is flattened a little.

For pieces that have no opening, i.e. are completely closed at the end, the last stitches are pulled
together. To do this, pull the thread through the remaining stitches and tighten (!!! do not pull too tight
or the thread will break !!!).

Sewing together Next come the legs. Before you sew one of the legs, it is a good idea to pin
all four legs in place. This way you make sure that the Umbreon has a
To attach the various parts in the correct position, they are first pinned in good stand. To do this, attach the front legs so that the protruding rows

First, attach the head to the body. To do this, lay the body flat on a surface
and place the head centrally on top. Make sure that the head does not sit
too upright, but also does not look down.

To sew on the tail, place the Umbreon on a flat surface. The tail is now
placed on the body at the back. Sew it on with a few stitches so that it
does not wobble. It should point upwards. The ears are sewn on like the
tail. They are first pinned symmetrically to the head. The ears should point
slightly backwards. The ears must also be sewn on with many stitches until
they are firmly attached.

The Umbreon is now sewn together and the eyes will follow.

Finally, the circles are attached to the body. For this, a leg circle is sewn on
at the transition from each leg to the body and the head circle on the
forehead.

The eyes Template for the eyes

control
For the embroidered eyes you can use the enclosed embroidery file. I panel
personally like this version best. If you don't have an embroidery machine,
you can also make the eyes with felt in two other ways. 1. Basic shape yellow (shiny red) 2cm

2. Pupil black
If you want to felt the eyes, first cut out the basic red shape of the eye. Cut
out the template and draw it onto the red felt fabric. When it is cut out,
pin it to the head in the right position.

Now there are two possibilities. Either you also cut out the other accents
from felt fabric and glue them onto the base. You can also felt the eyes
onto the base using felting wool and a felting needle in the appropriate 3. Reflection white
