*Sofía: Victim of bullying
* Andrés: The bully.
* Ana: Sofia’s friend.
* Teacher: Understanding teacher.
*Scenario: A classroom.
ACT I
Scene 1
(Sofía enters the classroom, depressed and with an averted gaze. She sits at her desk, away from
the rest of her classmates. (Andrés approaches her with a mocking smile)
*Andrés: How are you, Sofía? Ready for another day of being the class nerd?
(Sofía does not respond, she just lowers her head even more. Andrés takes her book from her and
throws it to the ground.)
*Andrés: Come on, Sofia! Aren’t you going to defend yourself? You are so pathetic!
(The other students laugh at the situation. Sofía feels humiliated and ashamed.)
*juan: (He approaches Sofia) Sofia, are you okay? Has Andrés done something to you?
*(Sofía shakes her head silently.)
*Juan: Don’t worry, I’ll help you.
(Ana tries to pick up Sofía’s book from the floor, but Andrés pushes her.)
*Andrés: Get out of here, four eyes! This is none of your business.
(At that moment, the Master enters.)
*Teacher: (Serious) Good morning, guys! What’s going on here?
(Andrés and Ana sit at their respective desks.)
*Sofía: (In a low voice) Nothing, sir.
*Teacher: Sofia, don’t lie to me. I have seen what has happened. Andrés, why are you bothering
Sofía?
*Andrés: (With a defiant tone) I was just playing, sir. It’s not that big of a deal.
*Teacher: Bullying is not a game, Andrés. It is a serious problem that can have serious
consequences for the victim. I will not tolerate this type of behavior in my class.
(Andrés remains silent, head down.)
*Teacher: (To Sofia) Sofia, are you okay? You need something?
*Sofía: (Nods her head) Thank you, teacher. I’m fine.
*Teacher: Good. Now, everyone to your seats. And remember, respect is essential in this class.
*ACT II
*Scene 1
(Weeks later, the Teacher has taken measures to address the problem of bullying in the class. He
has implemented new rules of coexistence, has held talks on the subject and has created
communication channels to report any type of harassment.)
*Sofía and Ana walk down the school hallway.
*Ana: (Happy) I am very happy that the Teacher has taken measures against bullying.
*Sofía: (Smiles) Yes, the truth is that I feel much better. I’m not afraid to go to school anymore.
*(Andrés approaches them.)
*Andrés: (Regretful) Hello, Sofía. I just wanted to apologize for everything I’ve put you through. I
didn’t mean to hurt you.
*Sofía: (Looks at him suspiciously) Are you really sorry?
*Andrés:(Sincere) Yes, I’m really sorry.
*Sofía: It’s okay Andrén, everything is forgotten.
