LOADS

A. DEAD LOAD

CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS

INNER WALL: 4” CHB

Use the greatest height of wall for application of loads.

Height= 3m for 2nd Floor Beams, 3.35 for Ground Floor Beams.

Beam Depth=0.2m

Wall Height= 3-0.2=2.8m, 3.35-0.2=3.15m

MASONRY LOAD= (2.69+2(0.24))x (2.8 or 3.15) = 8.876 kN/m, 9.99 kN/m

respectively

masonry load=8.876 kN/m (2nd Floor), 9.99 kN/m (Ground Floor)

OUTER WALL: 6” CHB

Use the greatest height of wall for application of loads.

Height= 3m

Beam Depth=0.2m

Wall Height= 3-0.2=2.8m

MASONRY LOAD= (2.82+2(0.24))(2.8 or 3.15= 9.24 kN/m, 10.395 kN/m

respectively

masonry load=9.24 kN/m, (2nd Floor), 10.395 kN/m (Ground Floor)

SLAB: CONCRETE SLAB, 100MM THICK

Concrete= 24 kN/m3

Slab Load= 24(0.1m)= 2.4 kPa

STAIRS: 100 MM THICK

Stairs Total Length= 3m

Concrete= 24 kN/m3

Slab Load= 24(0.1m)= 2.4 kPa

Stair Beam Load= 2.4kPa (3m)=7.2 kN/m)

Stair Beam Load= 7.2/2= 3.6kN/m

FLOOR FINISHES: CERAMIC TILES ON 25 MM MORTAR BED

Floor Load= 1.1 kPa

Application of floor load depends if it is one way or two way slab. Apply
according to below:

To calculate: L/S >2 therefore, one way slab

2.925m/1.125= 2.6 (purple markings)

3m/2.425= 1.28 (green markings)

CEILING FINISHES:

Materials: 4.5 mm thk fiber cement and suspended steel channel

Weight= 0.05 kPa x 4.5mm + 0.2 kPa + 0.1 kPa = 0.25 kN/m2

B. LIVE LOAD
*Refer above for load applications.
B. LIVE LOADS

Minimum Roof Live Loads as per NSCP 2015 will be used for the truss.

Roof Slope (θ) = 22 deg° OR 41.02%

Plan Area = 7.2m2

Slope Area = 8.62m2

Roof Live Load= 0.75kPa (3m)= 2.25 kN/m
