Introductory Rites
During the entrance procession, the relic will be processioned and upon entering the
sanctuary, the relic will be placed in a specific table with a candle.
When he has arrived at the altar, after making a profound bow with the ministers, the
Priest venerates the altar with a kiss and, if appropriate, incenses the cross, altar, and the
relic.

Greeting and Sign of the Cross

The Presider makes the sign of the cross and greets those assembled, hoping that God
calls the faithful to do penance and show mercy. All remain silent for a brief period.
The presider says:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Then the priest, extending his hands, greets the people, saying

The grace of our lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,
and the communion of the holy spirit
be with you all.

All: And with your spirit.

A priest or a deacon or a lay may read the letter from the giver of the relic.

PENITENTIAL ACT

Then follows the Penitential Act, to which the presider invites the faithful saying:

Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins,

and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

A brief pause for silence follows. Then all recited together the formula of general
confession:

I confess to almighty God,

and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,

They strike their breasts while saying:

through my fault, through my fault,

through my most grievous fault;

Then they continue:

and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin,

all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

The absolution of the priest follows:

May almighty God have mercy on us,

forgive us our sins,
and bring us to everlasting life.

The invocations, Lord, have mercy, follow, unless they have already been used in
one of the forms of the act of penance.

 OPENING PRAYER

Afterwards the presider, with hands joined, sings or says:

Let us pray.
Pause for silent prayer.

Grant, we pray, almighty God, that we,

who have celebrated the paschal festivities,
may by your gift hold fast to them
in the way that we live our lives.
Through our lord Jesus Christ,
your son, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the holy spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

PREPARATION OF THE ALTAR AND THE GIFTS

During the preparation of the gifts, an Offertory Hymn is sung and the altar table is
prepared by the deacons and the acolytes.

When the Altar and the gifts have been prepared, the presider takes the paten with the
bread and holding it slightly raised above the altar says:

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have received
the bread we offer you:
fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
it will become for us the bread of life.
R. Blessed be God forever

A concelebrant pours wine and a little water into the chalice saying inaudibly:

By the mystery of this water and wine

may we come to share in the divinity of Christ,
who humbled himself to share in our humanity.
Then the presider takes the chalice and, holding it slightly raised above the altar says:

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have received
the wine we offer you:
fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
it will become our spiritual drink.
R. Blessed be God forever

The presider bows and says inaudibly:

With humble spirit and contrite heart

may we be accepted by you, O Lord,
and may our sacrifice in your sight this day
be pleasing to you, Lord god.

If appropriate, he also incenses the offerings and the altar. Afterwards, a minister
incenses the presider, then the Concelebrants and the faithful.

 Next the presider stands at the side of the altar and washes his hands saying inaudibly:

Wash me, O Lord, from my iniquity

and cleanse me from my sin.

Presider:

Meanwhile, the presider takes the host and breaks it over the paten. He places a small
piece in the chalice, saying inaudibly:

May this mingling of the body and blood

of our Lord Jesus Christ
bring eternal life to us who receive it.

PRIVATE PREPARATION

The presider says inaudibly:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God,

by the will of the Father and the work of the Holy Spirit
your death brought life to the world.
By your holy Body and Blood
free me from all may sins and from every evil.
Keep me faithful to your teaching,
and never let me be parted from you.

 COMMUNION

The presider genuflects. Taking the host, he raises it slightly over the paten and, facing
the people, says aloud:

Behold the Lamb of God

behold him who takes away the sins of the world.

Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

[Link], I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,

but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

The presider says inaudibly:

May the body of Christ bring me to everlasting life.

He reverently consumes the body of Christ. Then he takes the chalice and says
inaudibly:

May the blood of Christ bring me to everlasting life.

He reverently drinks the blood of Christ.

After this he takes the paten or other vessel and goes to the communicants. He takes a
host for each one, raises it a little, and shows it, saying:

The Body of Christ.

R. Amen.

While the faithful receive Holy Communion, Eucharistic Hymns are sung.

Communion Antiphon I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart, for you
have heard the words of my mouth.

 PRAYER TO SAINT PADRE PIO

Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me. I thank you for
sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and
to set me free. I trust in your power and grace that sustain and
restore me.

Loving Father,
touch me now with your healing hands,
for I believe that your will is for me
to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with the most precious blood of your Son, our Lord,
Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.

Cast out anything that should not be in me.

Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells.
Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any
damaged areas.
Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power
of Jesus’ precious blood.

Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body
to heal and make new any diseased areas
so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of
my heart.

Saturate my entire being with your presence, love, joy and peace
and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life.
And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to do
your works so that my life will bring glory and honour to your holy
name.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
