Clay Guy Goes to the Past to Destroy Robots

ACT 1 SCENE 1
INT, HOUSE
The shot pans down to show a bunch of little clay people, some are
sitting around, others are moving crates of supplies around, some
are helping to give first aid to other little clay people, when
suddenly, an explosion happens on the right side of the screen,
the camera cuts to the smoke clearing from the explosion, when
suddenly 2 robots walk out from the smoke, the camera then cuts to
a right side low angle.
ROBOT #D14
Halt, there is no point in resisting
ROBOT #A18
You will be terminated.
CIVILIAN #1
Run! The robots are here!
Chaos Ensues as we go back to a wide shot, but it slowly zooms out
to show it is on a tv screen.
ACT 1 SCENE 2
INT, LAB UNDER DESK
CLAY GUY
Father, is there nothing we can do to help them? Surely with our resources
we can stop those robots!
Dr CLAYSON
We’ve been over this Cliff, it won't work
CLAY GUY
But I’ve improved since then! Please father, you must let me go and fight
them!
Dr CLAYTON
NO CLIFF! (pauses) You can’t. I know you want to help, (another pauses
to think) and so I’ve created something to help you.
CLAY GUY
Really? Oh Father, what is it? A new sword, A mech A-
Dr CLAYTON
A Time machine, with it you can go back to the past and destroy the
robots before they were made.
CLAY GUY
Father, I- I can’t thank you enough, I won’t fail you.
Dr CLAYTON
Good, now let’s make preparations for your departure.
Shot pans down to the bottom of the screen transition to the next scene
ACT 1 SCENE 3
INT, KITCHEN COUNTERTOP
Shot pans down from the top of the screen transitioning from the
last scene.
Dr CLAYTON
(mid speech) and that is why I am proud to announce that my son
Cliff Clayton will be traveling back in time to stop those wretched
robots from ever killing another innocent soul!
CITIZENS
*Collective cheering and clapping*
CIVILIAN #2
Are you coming back?
CLAY GUY
I don't know if I'll return, but if I do, I hope to return to a
peaceful past.
Clay guy then enters the time machine, it goes up and starts to
spark before eventually exploding into a ball of light, the camera
then cuts behind the crowd, then a high angle above Dr Clayton.
Dr CLAYTON
(softly) Please come back in one p🧍ece son...
ACT 2 SCENE 1
INT,
A flash of light appears with the time machine slowly becoming
visible, the noise of its engines comes to a stop. Clay Guy climbs
out.
CLAY GUY
It really worked... IT REALLY WORKED! I must tell my father!
Clay guy uses his arm to contact his father.
CLAY GUY
Father! Can you hear me? It worked! I'm in the past!
Dr CLAYON (Over radio)
Yes, I'm reading you Cliff. This is wonderful, now go and find
those robots! I’m sending the coordinates over now.
CLAY GUY
I’ve got them, heading there now.
Clay guy runs off to go find the robots, the camera fades to black.
ACT 2 SCENE 2
INT, UNDER A DESK.
The camera moves to the right from behind a wall to show an old
man hunched over a computer typing in commands.
MAD SCIENTIST
Soon... soon my wonderful robots will come alive, and they will go
and take over the world for me, and a new world order will take
over, one made in my image! And all I have to do is stay here and
relax... hehehehahahah!(evil laugh idk)
An explosion can be heard from behind
MAD SCIENTIST
(Panicking) What!?!? Who are you! How did you find me!?!?
CLAY GUY
I’m the savior from the future!
CLAY GUY (in head)
Nailed it.
MAD SCIENTIST
From the future? Wait... that means... my robots work! Hm, well
not well enough if you're here. Lucky for you, they’re now complete!
CLAY GUY
NO! THEY RUIN THE FUTURE FOR ALL, NO ONE SURIVIES!
MAD SCIENTIST
I doubt that.
CLAY GUY
Well, a few do, but many are eradicated.
MAD SCIENTIST
No matter, it is done
The camera pans to the bottom right to reveal that the activation
button has been pressed, the camera cuts to clay guy, who takes a
step back in shock.
CLAY GUY
No, NO NO! How can I fail? We’re do-
Just then whirring can be heard and lights are switched on, the
dreaded robot has been activated.
ACT 2 SCENE 3
Before Clay guy can even react the robot dashes into him and knocks
him through a wall causing him to roll and tumble along, main shot
captures him in one shot but also cuts between different angles of
him tumbling along.
¥As he gets up, he is attacked again by the robot who punches him
clean in the gut, making him fall to his knees again.
The robot steps back, raising its arm reading to open fire on Clay
Guy.
ROBOT #1
Awaiting your command to fire Doctor.
MAD SCIENTIST (over coms)
Hold out, I want to talk to this future boy.
CLAY GUY
(coughing) Agh... (faintly) I don’t know what hurts more, these
blows or my failure to stop them.
Cliff looks down at the floor, ready to give up, we cut to a Pov
shot where it's fading black and everything sounding muffled, but
his radio from his arm can be heard.
Dr CLAYON (Radio)
Cliff?!?! Cliff my boy can you hear me? What is wrong your vitals
are dropping at an alarming rate!
CLAY GUY
It’s over Dad... I’ve lost, the robot has been activated...
Dr CLAYTON (Radio)
And you're just giving up? I thought you said you were strong! Am
I still talking to my son? The man who wanted to take on the hordes
of robots? Are you that man? Because if so, I don’t see why one
incomplete robot should be a challenge for you!
CLAY GUY
Incomplete?
Dr CLAYTON (Radio)
Yes!? What do you think I would risk our lives by sending you to
the day of the robots' completion? No! I sent you before then,
that’s why you are only fighting one robot right now, and I would
put money on it that he isn’t complete, So I suggest you pick
yourself up and destroy that robot!
After hearing this speech from his dad, Clay guy musters the
strength to get up, ready to fight
CLAY GUY
Thank you, Father, I won’t let you down. (ends communication)
Now... I’m gonna turn you to scrap!
ACT 2 SCENE 4
Before the robot could relay the information, clay guy jumps
towards him with his sword slashing at him, the robot cannot even
move and receives a series of cuts across its metal skin, Clay guy
leaps back to admire his work
CLAY GUY
Had enough?
ROBOT #P1
Negative, that did not hit any of my core wires
CLAY GUY
Then I’ll give it another go
Again, he leaps towards the robot but this time, he directs his
attacks onto the robot's exposed wires on his cannon arm.
ROBOT #P1
Error, lost connection to main cannon
CLAY GUY
How about we finish this, now!
As he says that, both clay guy and the robot lunges towards one
another, trading blows and slashes, with clay guys arm getting
thrown off
CLAY GUY
Argh! You’re getting slower and weaker with each cut, just self-
destruct, save your creator some trouble.
ROBOT #P1
Negative
CLAY GUY
I wasn’t suggesting
ROBOT #P1
To give up now would be a waste of my creator's efforts, from my
calculations, I have a 78.29% of success.
CLAY GUY
Some of the wires I cut must have made you unable to think properly.
ROBOT #P1
Negative, I know I cannot beat you in a one-on-one fight, but there
are other ways of success.
CLAY GUY
What the hell are you on about? I must have cut something major.
ROBOT #P1
Observe.
The robot looks over and fires a laser from its eye, blowing up
clay guys time machine
CLAY GUY
WHAT!?! NO!
ROBOT #P1
My chances of beating you in this fight are 23.4% but it does not
matter, as you are stuck here, well you have one way out, but I
will ensure that you do not get the chance.
And at that moment, the mad scientist emerged from behind the robot
MAD SCIENTIST
I heard an explosion; I assume that it is all over with?
ROBOT #P1
Not quite Sir, there is one more thing I must do to assure victory.
MAD SCIENTIST
Hrm, well go ahead then.
ROBOT #P1
Thank you, sir.
The robot bends down and grabs the mad scientist by his head
MAD SCIENTIST
WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?! WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU!? PUT ME DOWN!?!
Clay guy is too stunned at what is happening to act.
ROBOT #P1
I thought you would understand Sir, without you, there is no
possibility that he can return to his future timeline.
MAD SCIENTIST
WHAT? NO! THAT WON’T WO-
Just then the robot clamps together its fist, crushing the
scientist right there, his lifeless body falls to the ground as we
see a shot of clay guy in bewilderment.
CLAY GUY (enraged)
ARGH! YOU FOOL!
For the final time, clay guy flies towards the robot, who does not
fight back, instead, clay guy takes one final swing downwards,
cutting the robot in half. As both sides lay motionless, Cliff
thinks to himself...
CLAY GUY
I see why they call you a “Mad” Scientist. You could have used your
talents for good, to help the sick and weak, but instead you wanted
to make everyone sick and weak.
You had it coming Ivan.
ACT 3, SCENE 1
Clay guy goes to pick up his robotic arm that had be removed during
the fight.
CLAY GUY
Father? Father, can you hear me?
Dr CLAYTON
Yes, yes, I can son, what is it? Have you stopped the robots and
their creator?
CLAY GUY
Kind off, I stopped the robot but funnily enough, it was the robot
who stopped the doctor.
Dr CLAYON
Oh good, good news! Well get back in your time machine and get back
here! The coordinates have already been set.
CLAY GUY
Thats why I’m calling, the time machine has been destroyed... I
hoped maybe you could build a new one and come get me...?
Dr CLAYTON
Hmm, yes yes, I will come and get you as soon as possible.
CLAY GUY
How long did it take you to build the first time machine?
Dr CLAYTON
Well, I was researching for about 7 years... modifying... and well
now that I have the plans, it should take me about 3 years to get
enough resources, plus about a year or 2 to build it... So about 5
years.
CLAY GUY
Ok, well thank you Father, I’ll see you in 5 years.
Dr CLAYTON
Oh no son tha-
Clay guy cuts the communication before he can finish
CLAY GUY
Well, 5 years isn't too bad, I’ll get to see the world before it’s
destroyed, maybe even by a few lottery tickets hehe-
Before clay guy can get anymore thoughts, a blinding light comes
from behind
CLAY GUY
What? What is that?
As the light settles, a man emerges from a ship.
Dr CLAYTON
My boy! Oh, it is so good to see you!
CLAY GUY
Who... Who are you?
Dr CLAYTON
Oh, come on I spoke to you like 5 seconds ago, but on my end, it
was 5 years ago hehe.
CLAY GUY
Father! How? You said 5 years?
Dr CLAYTON
Yes? You know how time travel works don’t you? I time traveled back
here? Did I teach you anything?
CLAY GUY
I guess not ha-ha, let's go home now.
Narrator
Both Father and son walk away, knowing that they can rest easy now
knowing that they never again have to fear those mechanical menaces
But Clay guys break may end early, as another threat is on its
way...
