Teamwork
As a part of the UCLA B.A. Music Education program, I served as a
volunteer student teacher of general music at Charnock Road Elementary Team Building
School. Under the guidance of Dr. Lily Chen-Hafteck, Professor of Music Teaching in School
Education, I worked with four di erent classes of Pre-K and Kindergarten Environments
students for two hours every week.

Section Leaders are paid student sta members in the UCLA Marching
Band, and one must apply for the position. The time commitment was six
hours during the work week along with all-day performances on Awards
Saturdays. As a section leader, I served an important leadership role in
guiding my fifteen-person section during rehearsals and performances. 2020 John Philip Sousa Award

Rank Leaders are paid student sta members in the UCLA Marching Band.
The time commitment was six hours during the work week along with
all-day performances on Saturdays. As a rank leader, I served as a
consultant in marching technique as well as a substitute leader in case of
the absence of the Section Leader.
