(The angel appears to Mary. Mary cleaning.)
Angel 1: Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women. (HEV - Luke 1:28)
(Mary is greatly troubled, disturbed and confused.) AMPC - Luke1:29
Angel 1: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found absolute favour with
God. Luke 1:30)
Mary: Why are you visiting me?
Angel 1: Listen, you will be pregnant and give birth to a Son, and you shall
call Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the
Most High. He will reign ever the house of Jacob throughout the
ages; and of His reign there will be no end.
Mary: But how can this be? I am not married.
Angel 1: The spirit of Holiness will fall upon you and almighty God will
spread His shadow of power over you in a cloud of glory! This is
why the child born to you will be holy and he will be called the
Son of God. (TPT – Luke 1:35)
Mary: Yes, I will be a mother for the Lord! As his servant, I accept
whatever he has for me. May everything you have told me come
to pass.
(The angel disappeared. Mary is left alone)
(Joseph is passing angrily.)
Joseph: Mary is pregnant! How can this be? How can she do….. that?
(Joseph is walking around thinking)
I will secretly break up our engagement. I cannot believe that she
did this to us.
Song: Silent night / Busuku obuhe
Narrator: Joseph sighs, sits down and falls into a deep sleep while
debating with himself about what to do. He had a supernatural dream.
An angel of the Lord appeared to him and said…
Angel 2 : Joseph, descendant of David, don’t hesitate to take Mary into
your home as your wife.
Joseph : Why should I take her as my wife, She is going to have a baby to
another man.
Angel 2 : Joseph, The power of the Holy Sprit has conceived a child in her
womb. She will give birth to a son and you shall name him
‘Saviour’, for he is destined to give his life to save his people
from their sins. This happened to fulfil what the Lord had spoken
through his prophet:
Joseph : Ok. I will take her as my wife, love her and take care of her till the
end.
(Joseph wakes up from his dream and does all that the angel of the Lord
instructed him to do)
(Angel 2 then disappeared, and Joseph is left alone. Mary walks in.)
Narrator : Marry and Joseph were on their way to Bethlehem as the
Lord had commanded you.
(At Bethlehem)
Marry : Joseph, I am very tired, we need to find somewhere to stay.
(sounds tired)
Joseph : Ok my love. I will find a place so you can rest.
(At a Hotel, Joseph knocks on the door and a man opens the door)
Hotel Owner : What do you want?
Joseph : May we have a room? Plea………se
Hotel Owner : We are full, Go away peasants! (Angrily)
(Peasant 2 walking past)
Peasant 2 : I’m so sorry for over hearing, But do you need somewhere to
stay?
Joseph : Yes, we do my wife is very tired and she can have the baby at
anytime.
Peasant 2 : I have a barn next to my place, it has animals in it but it is warm
and there is plenty of straw to lie on.
May and Joseph: Thank you for a place to rest.
(Marry lies down on the straw.)
Marry : Joseph, Joseph, It’s time, I am having the baby!
Joseph : It’s a boy my love, His name will be Jesus!
Marry : Oh, my baby!
(Baby wrapped in cloths. Marry and Joseph soon fell asleep.)

(Shepherds, who live near Bethlehem, were out at night in their fields watching
over their sheep.)
Shepherd 1 : Wow! Look everyone, look at that! ………. It’s angels!
Angel 3 : Don’t be afraid! (With her arms opened wide)
We are here to bring you good news for all the people.
Angel 4 : Tonight in Bethlehem a baby has been born. He is the one that
will save the world.
Angel 2 : You will know this baby because He will be wrapped in cloths,
and laying in a manger.
Angel 1,3,4, : Glory to God, and peace to all people here on Earth.

Shepherd 1 : Oh wow! Does everyone know this news?
Shepherd 2 : I think it’s just us.
Shepherd 3 : We must tell everyone about this baby.
Shepherd 4 : We must go to see the baby that the angel is talking about.
(The shepherds fell on their knees and were happy that they had found baby
Jesus)

Narrator : While the shepherds made their way to the King, 3 wise men
also spotted this bright shining star in the sky.
(Wise men walking through)
Wise man 1: What is that bright light in the sky?
Wise man 2: It’s the star we have been looking for!
Wise man 3: Yes, The star that means the King of the Jews …
Wise man 1: … the King of Jews who would save the world has been born. We
have to find Him.
Narrator : In the word of God it was foretold that one day a special
person would come from Bethlehem, now King Herod heard
of this and ordered the Egyptian soldiers to kill all the male
child that were born at that time but the angels of God
protected baby Jesus.
Wise man 2: How are we to find this baby? We don’t know exactly where this
baby is.
Wise man 3: This is what we will do, at night we will follow the star to the east.
Wise man 1: Yes, that is a great idea and soon we will find him.
(Angels appear to the Wise men)
Angel 3 : Please find the baby, but don’t tell the King.
Angel 4 : Ashe wants to kill Him.
Angel 2 : Take the baby very expensive gifts, gifts that you would give to a
King.
Wise men 1, 2, 3: Yes we shall do as you have asked of us.
(The Angels disappear)
Wise men 2: Look, Look we are here. (With awe and excitement)
Narrator: The Wise men were very excited and happy. They found baby
Jesus laying in Mary’s arms, and they bowed down and
worshipped him.
Wise man 1 : We have come to worship our New King.
Wise men 3 : We have brought gifts for our King.
Wise men 1 : I have brought GOLD for My King.
Wise men 2 : I have brought FRANKINCENSE for My King.
Wise men 3 : I have brought MYRRH for My King.
Mary : Thank you for bringing these gifts for Jesus.
Joseph : How can we ever thank you.
Go tell it on the mountains

Narrator : The wise men went to find a place to sleep for the night. Angels
appear to the Wise men as they were sleeping.
Angel 1 : Remember, never tell the King. King Herod doesn’t want to find
Jesus to worship Him.
Angel 3 : He wants to kill him because he is jealous that this baby will
someday be better than him.
Narrator: While Marry and Joseph were asleep the angel appeared to
Joseph and told Joseph to take Jesus and Marry and run away to
Egypt because Herold was searching for Jesus to kill him.
Joseph : Marry, Marry, wake up we must leave now in the night.
Marry : Why must we leave?
Joseph : We must leave to travel to Egypt, As the King Herod has sent
someone to kill Jesus!
Narrator : They were safe in Egypt, and after King Herod died an angel
appeared to Joseph and told him to go to a place called
Nazareth. And that’s where Jesus grew up. Today Christmas is
the most festival in the whole world.
For us Christians it is the to remember and celebrate the birth of
Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Messiah.
